"Colin and Ted are great to work with. They do about 250 sheds a year, and have been in business over 20 years. Their product line is extensive, and they are able to accommodate most customization requests. That customization aspect was important In our project, as cost and zoning restrictions prevented us from adding a garage, but we were able to do a large shed instead. So setting up a shed to accommodate a vehicle presented some challenges. We are very happy with the result."

"I could not have asked for better service or better results. Installing the required electrical power, lighting, speakers, and A/V signals required significant planning and work in finished areas of my home. In the end, the result was clean and showed care and attention to detail in both the design and implementation stages. All of the runs for power, speakers, Internet, and A/V signals work as I wanted. The installed lighting and dimmer has significantly improved visibility in my dining area. And despite the numerous cuts to the drywall that was needed during the project, one cannot tell today that the drywall had ever been cut open. In addition, I was treated professionally during the entire project and all the questions I had were answered promptly. I wholeheartedly recommend REO, and I plan to hire them again for future work at my home."

"My wife and I have used Two By Four quite a few times so far. They installed laminate flooring replacing some of the subfloor at the time and while the subfloor was up added ceiling lights to the room below. We had them come back and add ceiling lights, fan boxes, and smoke detectors to 4 bedrooms. They have also done plumbing work in the guest bathroom and the kitchen. They installed a mail box that required a concrete pad and added stonework around it for finish. Finally they replaced some siding and attic vents that were damaged by hail. Every job has gone smoothly, they arrive when expected are friendly and clean while on the job site. We never had any cause to be upset. They have been able to do some jobs like the kitchen sink leak on very short notice. Overall very happy with Gary, Jr, and the entire crew."

"Did exactly what we needed and poured a concrete slab and constructed an out of the box shed and anchored it to the concrete. Came out perfect and exactly the quoted price. Would hire again no hesitation."

"Beyond my expectations! The old door was condensing inside and out, we knew there would be extensive damage to the wood framing and floor area beneath. It was worse than I expected. Mike installed the new door, created a way for our pet door to fit while still being able to LOCK the slider! Over three days - the tear out, purchasing of many materials, repairing the frame, installing the new door, repainting/restoring the interior and exterior to BETTER than they previously appeared, and rigging that new and improved pet door - he worked diligently. I have never had a workman that was so neat! Cleaning up debris, bagging trash, maintaining the work area organized and safe. I have already recommended him to friends, and they have all said how great he was! I have many other projects planned, and will not hesitate to call Home Remedies again."

"Service Crew was punctual and responsive to questions and detail changes. Used the Behr Paint furnished by us instead of the standard paint they normally use.  Quality of the work is outstanding and our neighbors are amazed.

FAQs for shed and enclosure service projects in Arlington, VA

A treehouse stresses the tree, but proper design keeps that impact manageable. Start with a healthy species, use tree-attachment bolts instead of lag screws, and allow room for future growth. A qualified treehouse builder or arborist can assess load capacity, ensure safe fastening, and monitor the tree’s health after construction.

The time it takes to build a treehouse depends on its size and complexity, and whether you choose a prefab kit or a custom design. A straightforward child's prefab treehouse can be assembled in as little as two days to a week. More complex designs can take two to six weeks. Adding features like plumbing and electricity can add several days to the project timeline. Building a fully livable treehouse can take anywhere from several months to a year.

The best trees for constructing a treehouse are strong and healthy with a minimum diameter of 12 inches. Ideal choices include maple, oak, hemlock, and fir trees. If suitable trees aren't available, you can install additional support posts to reinforce the structure. Consulting with an arborist or local treehouse builder ensures your site is evaluated correctly and your treehouse is securely anchored.

A well-constructed treehouse can last anywhere from 10 to 25 years or more. The lifespan depends on the quality of the materials used and the extent to which they are maintained. Applying weatherproof treatments to the wood can help extend its lifespan. Keep in mind that treehouses in areas with harsh weather conditions may wear faster than those in milder climates.

Building a treehouse for year‑round living is entirely possible when you address both the technical challenges and the lifestyle benefits head‑on. This project requires a secure design that incorporates superior insulation, integrated plumbing, and robust electrical systems, while also creating a sustainable, minimalist, and eco-friendly retreat. To ensure comfort and safety, invest in enhanced structural supports and adhere to strict code-compliance measures. Professional consultation is essential to transform your treehouse into a secure, full-time living space that incorporates off-the-grid and environmentally conscious design.

Plumbing installation in a treehouse is challenging because it requires unique, engineered solutions for an off‑ground structure. This project requires custom-designed water distribution systems, reinforced connections, and specialized adjustments that exceed the standard requirements for home plumbing. In addition, implementing innovative solutions such as composting toilets, rainwater collection systems, and graywater sinks ensures safe operation, efficient drainage, and sustainable water usage. These measures, when combined with rigorous adherence to building codes, guarantee that your treehouse’s plumbing system operates securely and efficiently.
