"Not only did Ethan and his team solve our drainage/flooding problem, they made our backyard look BEAUTIFUL! Ethan met with me several times leading up to this work and was always thoughtful and generous with his time. He and his team (two other guys worked on the project with him) are enormously courteous, friendly, and professional and respectful of one another (nice collegiality). As our neighbors were allowing us to use their driveway for access to their backyard, it was important that their space be well cared-for. They were totally conscientious and cleaned their driveway at the end of every day; the workspace was always tidy. They completed this job, even with the intense heat, in less than a week. Ethan really has a gift for working with the natural attributes of a space to make it more beautiful and cohesive. He is very knowledgeable about plants, habitats, and plant care. For example, they had to jackhammer through a 14 inch slab of stone to install the French drain and Ethan found that it was beautiful Holyoke mountain range red stone. Brad shored it up for the winter with an array of jacks and an enormous chain to ensure the thing wouldn’t fall down till they could return in the spring. Come spring, they fully replaced the damaged section’s support members and facade, and added bracing to the attic, rendering it stronger than before. Foundation support: The sagging beams and jerry-rigged support columns in the dirt basement of our 18th century house were inadequate. They dug and poured a dozen footings and lally columns, supporting a line of new 6x6 and 9x9 beams that provide solid support to the house above. They showed up promptly every day, worked fast, and left the site clean and finished. Both Brad and Chad have a deep knowledge about old houses and the techniques that were used, and I felt my historic register property was in good hands."

He inspected the roof and determined that squirrels had chewed and damaged the lead flashing around the chimney leading to water running down a rafter. He did a repair with silicone to make certain it would not leak and scheduled a time for them to come back to do a permanent repair.
