"We were repeat customers with VKB (master bath remodel a couple of years ago). We redid our two spare bathrooms and a powder room this time. The pros: VKB’s construction side is the reason to choose them! They do a Jason, the project manager, did an excellent job. He kept in constant communication with us, and addressed all of our needs and emerging questions about the project. Walter, the crew leader is fantastic! He managed every aspect of the project while Jason was on vacation and even had excellent ideas and suggestions for the project. He went above and beyond. Jason and Walter are the reasons to go to VKB. The cons: The one major negative is that Sean, our designer, was completely unavailable. The fixtures he suggested, for the most part had 2-3 star reviews on most vendor’s sites. When we asked him to send us some options that were better rated, he basically told us to choose whatever we liked, he could not provide any additional help. He was barely involved in any of the selections, was very slow to respond (often taking more than 10 days to respond to emails), and did not keep on top of our selection requests. Some of our selections were not noted. The bottom line: Once we had made the selections, and all the materials were ordered, Jason and Walter took over, and from then on, it was smooth sailing! In short, the construction crew at VKB is fantastic, and they are definitely worth the money. I highly recommend VKB to my friends. 5 stars for construction crew, 1-2 stars for the design side."

"Jeff of Homecraft Builders came to our house and gave us a very fair estimate. Jeff and his team removed the old structures and put in one gorgeous deck!! Oh my goodness, it is so pretty. This deck is going to be our new "outdoor living room." The deck is white with sturdy wide stairs and has grey trek material to walk on. No more splinters! The white deck looks so sharp and certainly increases the value of the home. The deck is exactly what I wanted. I was fortunate to find this company as my neighbor used them as well. I could not be more pleased with the whole process -- from sitting down to talk options, looking at past work the contractor did, discussing price and feasibility, etc. This contractor even went above and beyond to help me since I could not locate my original plat for the property. I would definitely contact this company again if I needed another platform or if a family member or friend asked for a referral for a contractor. Definitely feel that this contractor exceeded my expectations and I feel that the price was a very good value!! This deck has made my home complete!! "We needed a new walkway (or patio) to connect our front porch to the garage (to replace the original quartz stone, board, & flagstone design), a new front porch (since the boards were rotting), and we needed the EverGrain Composite Decking of our back deck power-washed and stained. Deckmaster was the only contractor who could do all three jobs, and the finished product on all three was great, and they gave us a great price. They redid the stairs on the back deck and gave us an extra step on the front porch, both of which we really like. Deckmaster was patient while we got our homeowner's association to approve the design, and they were very responsive and reasonable every step of the way. I'd definitely hire them again and highly recommend."
