"With enthusiasm, I recommend Prestige Windows and Doors. Replacing our windows, doors, and skylights with hurricane impact glass was the first of several projects for which I have dealt with various contractors, a total of seven for a series of home improvement projects. We were initially weighing the possibility of buying a more expensive home, but, for a variety of reasons, we decided to remain in our older home, and upgrade it. We have therefore been living in a construction site for the last year, but we have overall enjoyed the process, beginning with our relationship with Prestige. We hired Prestige after I spoke with many contractors in Southeast Florida, including representatives of all the major name brand window manufacturers. We also contacted several of the top listings on Angieâ s List and Home Advisor. We had several estimates from various contractors. Although Prestige was not the least expensive, we judged them reasonably priced and most competent. The manufactured windows, doors, and skylights Prestige recommended (CGI) had been recommended by others of the most well-reviewed contractors. Dealing with any contractor for repairing or refurbishing a fifty year old Florida house almost invariably involves unwanted surprises in the quality of the previous construction, delays beyond the contractorâ s control in the delivery of manufactured products, and accidents by even the best-trained, best-supervised, and most conscientious workers. It is essential that the contractor warn the consumer and plan with the client ahead of time for possibilities for delay or difficulty. Consumers should steer clear of any contractor who promises a totally smooth building process. Prestige and Chris Rivas pass those standards with flying colors. All levels of management sprung into action as we encountered various difficulties. The owner of the company visited us personally to assure us of their top to bottom commitment. Operations manager Mike and Installation manager Luis were constantly on site and/or available to us by phone. Chris Rivas promised that he would stay involved in every stage of our project. Many contractors promise the world. Few deliver at the level of Prestige. Lucas was the foreman of the on-site crew, and was outstanding in every respect. What could go wrong? What didnâ t go wrong, having nothing to do with Prestige? When product was later than expected in delivery, Prestige informed us regularly of progress on delivery. When the crew started to replace all of the windows and doors in our Florida room, they discovered that the only thing holding up the roof were the old windows and doors. There had been no proper framing or support. All of that had to be made by Prestige and installed before the new windows and doors could be installed. Even though many unexpected problems arose, Prestige and especially Chris Rivas warned us ahead of time. There were some increases in costs, but Prestige kept our cost overruns to a minimum, less frankly than we might have anticipated. Even a few months after we had finished paying in full, Prestige fully honored their guarantees. For example, we had difficulty with the electric locks we had installed in the front and back doors. Prestige made sure that the lock manufacturer repaired the locks in full, to our satisfaction. We are thrilled with the quality of the products Prestige installed, even a few months after their installation. We were delighted by the mature and professional way that we were treated, even though many times we overreacted when things went wrong in the building process. Especially after dealing with many other contractors, we are happy to report our complete satisfaction with every aspect of our business relationship with Prestige. "Ben and his team did an incredible job with extensive exterior work on our house. They were quick to respond, on time, worked long hours to get the job done as efficiently as possible, and charged us an incredibly reasonable price. About the job: we just had our roof replaced and accordion shutters removed. There were large portions of our porch and under the eaves along the house where unfinished wood was exposed, and had been hastily installed. The shutter removal left large patches of the house unpainted, and there was damage that needed repair. Ben made a thoughtful assessment of our homeâ s needs to get it looking as good as possible. Our house is a corner lot, and Ben was incredibly considerate about his recommendation: he wanted to help us make sure the house looks great from all angles. He and his team powerwashed our house, painted it, refined woodwork and stucco that hadnâ t been installed properly, caulked areas that had been overlooked when we had new windows installed. In short, Ben and his team cared deeply about fixing problems we didnâ t even know about. He even offered advice about low-cost extras we could do now to make a big impact, including updating 5 sconces and replacing our floodlights system that was outdated - both at an incredible price. The team went ahead and power washed our driveway and walkways at no additional cost. We felt taken care of and trust Benâ s judgement implicitly: when he says itâ s important to fix something, we do. I canâ t recommend Ben and his team highly enough!"

I needed extra security in these plus they started just falling apart. Other companies tried to up sell me, quoted double yes double the price and then two others from another company just stared waiting for the boss. I mention what happened before ALCO got the job because I was in despair. When they came in, they presented themselves as professionals, were neat, organized, discussed options and gave a written estimate which they stuck to. In fact, they were the ONLY company that bothered to board up broken window panes for me...free. It was a wait for the materials but they prepared me for that and managed to even get them on time in hurricane season. Anytime I called or texted, they answered me quickly. They never got annoyed with the smallest question. Today was the big day. I figured it would take about 1 1/2 days with all the work to do..They finished in about 3-4 hours. The french doors look beautiful (measurements were exact) and the extra locking security on them was just as promised. The window was a breeze too. There wasn't a speck of dust in my room where the doors exited to the outside. Cosmetically, even the caulking was a clean line. No breaking of concrete or any problem. They offered to come back even if the caulk retracted! They threw the garbage out for me including the glass and it was cleaner when they left than before. The money. They got the deposit, recorded carefully, explained everything to me. When the bal. was paid, same thing. Absolutely not even the cost of a screw was added. I would say it was a fair price for the work but actually it was better than that as I had peace of mind with them here.I didnt want to tell them but actually they were the best estimate I got too. So, as they were leaving, I looked at my front windows (I have a mountain of windows back and front). I asked and yes, I am going to start by replacing the front ones first with more impact glass. Usually i m glad when workmen leave but they were kinda light hearted and Ill be looking forward to working with them again.Adrian and Luis are highly recommended for any window and door issues you have.
