"I hired Jovel to build stairs, retaining walls and planters connecting my existing patio to a new patio that I also hired Jovel's company to build. The stairs, retaining wall and planters were completed in September. In October, I had a licensed inspector at my home for another project and he pointed out that the stairs Jovel had built did not meet code. The inspector stated that stairs must be of equal rise and the lower and upper stairs were not in acceptable range with the other two. He also stated that three or more stairs required a handrail and that the stairs were POOR construction. Jovel has refused to correct the issue or refund any money paid. Please see pics for inspection report."

We contacted 3 companies - one never responded, another made an appointment and never showed up, and the third was Julio who was very responsive from the beginning and met with us within 24 hours of connecting. He is very knowledgeable about landscaping and made suggestions for trees that would work well in our yard. He also took our preferences into consideration, as well as keeping in mind what would work best for our family. He was quick to address any issues that came up. We found his pricing to be very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of work that was put into the project. We have had landscaping and tree work done at a previous house, and his pricing was better than the previous company we used (a major company in the area). He and his team were very reliable and take a lot of pride in the work that they do. "Initial rep was great and informative. Felt comfortable with initial sale. Hardly had any contact from customer service except for the payments. There were several delays that we were not informed about unless we called to ask. Took 7 months before they showed up to begin project. Only 1 person was sent to build steps. Took a week. Hard worked, hardly took a break. Had to call again to see when they would come to pour patio. Never knew when they were coming, they just showed up. Hardly spoke with the homeowners. Inspection paperwork was just left on porch. Additional paperwork that is "required by the County" had to be completed by homeowner and taken to Court house to be notarized and filed and also provide a copy back to Long Fence. Time sensitive materials which added to homeowners to-do list. Gave this contract to LF on the surface of their history and appearance of a 'good local company' but should have stayed with original contactors in VA. Puddle of water forms when it rains"
