"DMV did massive amount of work inside my house in March-May this year, including pulling up carpet in two rooms, recarpeting bedroom, and laying Brazilian cherry parquet floor in the living room (including installing subfloor), which they also (at my request) treated with oil (several applications) instead of stain and polyurethane. They installed new mouldings in the living room. They also repainted all rooms except bathrooms, wallpapered kitchen, dining room, living room accent wall, replaced backsplash tiles in kitchen, built an oak proscenium arch around and installed drapery rod inside opening between living room and dining room, and replaced bland balustrade room divider by installing antique oak communion rail I imported from the Netherlands, and installed oak wainscot panelling in the dining room. They also replaced front door deadbolt, doorknobs on bedroom door, installed new deadbolt on door from laundry room to garage, removed sliding door and replaced with French door in kitchen, repainted deck, front door, and front window shutters, replaced sidelights with security glass, replaced closet doors in bedroom with mirrored glass sliding doors. They replaced several light fixtures as well, and all three toilets, and mounted several curtain rods. And installed overflow on my water heater. All work was done beautifully, much of it by one extremely talented gentleman (Orlando) who was an absolute joy to have 'underfoot' (I had to move in and live in the house for a few weeks before all work was done). And they cleaned up everything when they were done! Huzzah! Best of all, the prices for all the work were extremely fair, especially for the fine quality. I spent more on mediocre work to get my mother's house presentable for sale than I did having my own new house converted into the house of my dreams! I cannot recommend them too highly! Javier, Orlando, et al., are the ideal partners for home 'transformation'. Wish I could post photos of their magnificent work."

"Completed an upgrade to our 40-year-old kitchen w VKB Kitchen & Bath. Calvin worked closely w us on the design to get small cabinet and counter space in our townhouse. Al was our PM for the demolition and build-out phases. Al had the challenge as PM to coordinate demolition, new flooring on 1st level, electrical changes, cabinet installs and new fixtures that we purchased. They installed new disposal and ceiling fixture at no charge. No change orders on project. No gaps on work sequence. Finished in half of the contracted days. Great company, designer and PM."

"Mr. Heard and his team (Douglas, Omar and Uncle Merc) are very professional yet friendly and so easy to work with. I hired them initially to replace a tub and shower I have hated for the last 5 years; however, after the initial consultation I decide to do the entire bathroom due to the pricing for the project. I ended up having a completely new tub, shower, tiles, vanity, medicine cabinet, flooring, towel rack and cabinet installed. I couldn't be any happier or satisfied. Mr. Heard explain the entire process to you in the beginning, he was so patient to answer all of my questions throughout the project. He answered all my questions without thinking a second. He was so helpful while I was finalizing the materials for my bathroom. The crew (Walter and George) have turned my bathroom into a luxurious room fit for five star hotels. The shower walls stand out so well with the beautiful border tile. The estimates provided were very accurate and detailed. It was so affordable that I only ended up using a slight proportion of my extra savings. They weren't the cheapest option though. Another thing I want to point out is the way that the My Kitchen and Bath team thoroughly cleans the work area once they are done with the construction. I was thoroughly impressed by this. They wiped everything down after they complete the project. I am so glad that I hired this team for this project and I recommend everyone in the area can contract their services too."

"7/29/2015 I needed a company certified to do removal of the front door of my house due to lead contamination. I contacted John Krause Construction company and they were very fast to respond to my request. John came out the very next day and came up with an estimate that day. Jen Contacted me about a day and time that would be convenient for me for the door to be installed. Paul and his crew came exactly when Jen said they would and the door, trim ect. were installed and it was like magic-old door was gone and new door in place. They cleaned up meticulously and it looked like they had never even been there. I would highly recommend John Krause for any type of service they perform-a VERY professional company!

"We actually hired J Hoss for two jobs, and they did a great job with both! Both were tricky operations involving the plumbing of an old beach house, and they came up with effective ways of dealing with every issue. The hot water heater install involved moving an old hot water heater out of a crawlspace and putting a new one in in a closet, and the plumbing lines were a bit wacky due to the way the cottage had been added onto over time. But they solved the problems without tearing out any walls, which was great. The other job involved a DIY project installing a bathroom vanity that we got halfway through before realizing we were over our heads. They were game and jumped right in and worked with us to complete the job. We loved how they collaborated with us and were so cheerful about our amateur efforts! Definitely will hire again."
