"Steve arrived on time from Pennsylvania, even though the weather was very foggy that day. He analyzed the work to be done and I said the closest store for parts was Home Depot. I explained that Lowes installed the door in 2004. I took a picture and went to them first for repairs but they said they don't repair doors. However, they recommended Angie's List for a handy man and to use treated wood or PVC material for door framing. Steve returned with a door frame kit. He said the material was wood but seemed unsure if it was treated. He repaired the frame which took 4 and 1/4 hours and he allowed me to use a $25 coupon. The caulk had to dry before we could close the door. When dry, I tried to close and lock it with a key using my body weight to push hard but it would not close. I opened the main garage door and was able to pull hard and lock it from the inside. I called and he came back the next day. I was unsure if I was being charged $124 per hour for him to fix it correctly and I was honestly afraid to ask. He didn't say but either way I knew it had to be done. After two hours I told him I had to get back to work. I asked how long would he be? He told me he wanted to make sure it was done right and to my satisfaction. I told him to call me if he needed me and left him to finish. He already had my credit card info if needed and I asked my tenant to try the key in the lock when he was done. I came back on my lunchbreak a couple hours later. The frame was fixed, he cleaned up the area and he was gone. My tenant said the key worked great and there was no other charge."

"I have a 2005 Saturn Vue and my remote keyless entry fob began working intermittently. Eventually, the Unlock button fell out and I couldn't lock my door any longer because I wouldn't be able to unlock it. I called the dealership to see how much it would cost to replace the remote. I was quoted a price of $95 for the remote itself, and then $64 to have it programmed for my car. I found a replacement remote online for $24.99 through Amazon, but because of the year/make/model of my car, it had to be programmed by a dealer or a locksmith. I have never had to contact a locksmith before, so I decided to look to Angie's List to find a Locksmith in my area with experience with cars. I contacted Laurel's Lock Shop and spoke with a very pleasant woman. (I found out that her name was Dianna.) She had me hold while she first made sure that they could program my specific car remote, and then told me the hours I could come in. I went the next morning before work and was again met by Dianna. She was able to program the the remote quickly, and I made it to work on time. I will definitely be back in the next couple of weeks to get a couple of more keys made to my car. Because of the pleasant attitude, knowledge, and information she provided to me regarding my car, I think I have found a Locksmith for life! <br />"

"I contacted JW Calvert MFG company and initially spoke to Jay regarding the purchasing of a security door for the rear entrance of my house. He promptly scheduled a time to come out and measure our doorway. He left an estimate, a book with door styles and choices. This was a huge plus for me! <br /> Once my husband and I chose a door I contacted Jay to discuss same. He and I discussed the best style for our needs. I paid the required deposit and Jay advised that the door would be ready in 4-6 weeks. <br /> The door was ready within the time frame, delivered and installed perfectly! <br /> Would we use JW Calvert again? Yes indeed we would! <br /> My husband and myself are already discussing our next project! A security door and jalousie coverings for our front door! <br /> I love my new door!! <br /> Thanx so much Jay for a great product!! <br /> <br /> <br />"
