"The individual that did the consult was very knowledgeable and helpful. The work took 8 days. I would highly recommend just buying new cabinets. The mess after the sanding and install was more than I expected. Some of the cabinets were left with debris and a considerable amount of dust in them, the shelves were not sanded on the ends where they were cut, leaving splinters and the sawdust was in the stove, dishwasher, cabinets that were covered and in the adjoining room. The craftsmanship turned out nice but noticeable that the edges were resurfaced. Itâ s hard to resurface cabinets that are old. The new doors cover the refacing. I feel the pricing is way to high for this type of project."

That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. "I called Alex at 24/7 Handyman to provide me with a quote for a master bathroom remodel.  We live in a development that was built in the late 70s and all the master bathrooms are tight (about 6' x 9').  We bought our house two years ago and the master bath hadn't been updated since it was built (yellow vanity top, yellow toilet, horrific wallpaper, etc.).  Before even coming out to provide an estimate Alex asked me several general questions about our bathroom and what our expectations were for the remodel.  I was very impressed with his attention to detail and professionalism on the phone and looked forward to meeting him in person.  The first visit Alex came out by himself and took all the measurements of the bathroom and presented us with several options for the remodel.  He explained that he would need approximately 2 weeks to complete the work, but he wanted to check with his head contractor to be sure.  He worked up a quote to not only completely gut the bathroom, but he also gave us a quote on a bathroom expansion.  Alex came back about a week later with his contractor Robert and he took a look at the surrounding wall structure and told us the expansion did not involve any load bearing walls.  He also went into our attic to find a direct route to install a ventilation fan in the bathroom.  I was equally impressed with Robert as I was when I met Alex; both men were incredibly professional and took us step by step through the whole project.  The quote for the expansion came in at just over $8,000.  Every aspect of the project was itemized on the quote so we could see exactly what work was going to be done and what each step would cost.  Alex provides all the materials and provides an allowance to you in the quote (example would be tile, toilet, vanity).  He clearly lets you know that his allowance figures are averages and that customers have gone very high end for fixtures and some stayed more with stock items.  In the end we put the project on hold due to other financial priorities, but I will absolutely give Alex a call back once this project makes its way back to the top of our list."
