"Update for April 4, 2024 In the spirit of community service to the residents of La Vernia, I am posting an update regarding my dispute and utter dissatisfaction with Jim Elrod and his company Halo Roofing. The inspection (details mentioned in the next paragraph) was completed yesterday. I am expecting the written report with photographs this week. Will post everything here as soon as it becomes available. Dispute history: Due to Jim Elrods uncooperative attitude regarding this matter I have had to take strong measures to resolve the matter unilaterally. I have scheduled an inspection to be conducted by a statewide affiliate of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (a.k.a. RCAT) *NOTE: see links below ... I have also coordinated the above mentioned appointment date so as to have a representative of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (the TDLR of Austin, Tx.) present during the inspection as well as an insurance assessor from my insurance company. A written report will be made and photographs will be attached to the report. Subsequently, the report will be submitted to RCAT, the TDLR and also to my Insurance Company. Of course, the report will be emailed to me as well. As soon as I have it I will post the entire contents here. Now I can enjoy my flower garden without a stream pouring down from the roof and soaking the flower bed which in turn spread soil outside the garden perimeter. Before the install, rainwater pouring off the roof stripped the paint off my back porch also. They surveyed the whole roof and redirected rainwater to appropriate downspouts.
