"Hired Drivway pros to come out for some patch work and to seal my driveway. Very respectful, professional, and gave me a very reasonable price. 10/10 would recommend Driveway Pros."

"I have to say, I was highly impressed; considering, I have never seen asphalt installed! C&C's crew showed-up ready to roll at approx. 9 a.m. October 17. They tore-out my existing "gravel" driveway and put down new gravel. They also smoothed-out and compacted the gravel with a vibrating roller. One could easily tell, this was not their first rodeo. The next day, they installed the asphalt. All 300 feet and 2 inches thick! C&C's foreman, Merle, answered all my questions and was happy to do so. As matter of fact, the whole crew was very respectful, not only to me, but also my property. They left my property as it was when they arrived. Minus the driveway, of course! They were in and out, a total of 12 hours combined, for both days. Apparently, C&C Paving is so good that it took them 4 months to get to me. But it was, so worth the wait! This is the only negative aspect I can report. The pictures do not do their work justice! I took over 60 pictures, but Angie's List only allows 10 to be downloaded."

"After reviewing our situation CFS recommended we contact a brick mason to rebuild the support columns.  His conclusion was that it would not be a good investment to utilize their services for the repair I needed.  He also surveyed our fireplace and attached porch and noted potential areas to keep and eye on. <br /> No pressure at all to contract for services, he was very knowledgeable and professional.  He provided good background information for us to understand what had caused the problems (ground settling) and how to monitor for future changes. <br /> While we did not contract with CFS I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them in the future. <br />"

"They removed a part of the wall and installed an eighteen foot steel beam. They moved the kitchen. They helped us with the demo. They also did the plumbing and the electrical work. They recreated in part of the space a kitchen, an office and a laundry room. They did a great job. Everything was done on time. Everything was within the budget other than the things that I changed. We were very happy with their work."

"I want to say a “thank you” to Steve Hermann Nurseries in Dade City Florida. Myself and two neighbors went in to have our dirt lane resurfaced with asphalt millings. We contacted Steve and he came out, gave us a estimate. He really knows his business! Shortly after, Wren set up a date to do the work. The day of the work, two young men came, along with Steve and started the resurfacing. The project went flawless. The two young men were very professional and very hard working. They worked so well as a team. The dirt lane that we had was resurfaced turned out awesome. I highly recommend Steve Hermann Nurseries. Trustworthy, professional and do quality work. Pat Goodwin"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Advance, NC

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
