"Very timely and professional. Daniel went above and beyond our expectations as far as helping us select the right water heater (tankless or not tankless) considering all the modifications and extra expenses required to go tankless. We had no idea what else we would have to do to go tankless. He did an excellent job and we have already discussed hiring him for other projects we have planned on the horizon."

"Al was very prompt on coming out to give me an estimate. He was very detailed and specific on his prices and how long it would take to do the job. He called me back and gave me an exact time frame for the schedule and confirmed it the week before. He and his son showed up on the first day on time and completed all the work within one week. I felt comfortable leaving him and his son  at the house while i was at work. They did a great job on completing everything i needed, plus cleaned up when they were done. I will sure call Al again if I need any work done. He was very talented and could do any type of house repair you need. He and his son was a pleasure to deal with. thanks Al! <br />"

"They were delayed so they called to reschedule and then arrived when promised. <br /> They asked questions, inspected the plumbing inside and under the house and then proceeded to put their power snake down the drain from the undersink vent. <br /> First snake was too small to do the job so they brought in a bigger one and that cleared it out. <br /> Cleaned up the mess from the overflow, checked for leaks including running the disposer full of water and had things done in about an hour. <br /> Sent two men and a truck. Charged $119 including tax. <br /> Neat, polite, knowledgable and ready to work crew. <br /> I am well pleased. <br />"

"It went very well. After a bit of a wait, I received a very comprehensive report of 88 specific items as well as bacteria, fungi and particles. Each Item detected over the EPA drinking water limits had an explanation sheet. Also provided was a contact person at the company to address any questions you had about the report findings. I thought the service was well worth the $300 just for the peace of mind. I intend to use the company on an annual basis going forward."

"I called to make an appointment for septic tank cleaning on Wednesday and the worker was out here today on Saturday at 9 am. He called at 7:30 am to let me know he was packing up to get here and asked some questions to determine what tools he would need to bring. He was very professional and worked hard the whole time digging to the ports, pumping and recovering the ports. He also was extremely knowledgeable on the way a septic tank and field lines work. <br /> We will be having new field lines installed soon and plan to use them for this service as well. <br />"

"GREAT! Forrest is very professional, honest, and eager to do an excellent job. He called before he came, told me what time he would arrive and arrived promptly at the time he stated. I was very pleased with the thorough job he did on his first visit and have been equally satisfied each month since he started coming monthly. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. His prices are competitive and he will come out for a free estimate."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Albertville, AL

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
