After some frantic phone calls to roofing companies, Roofx responded right away and even sent someone out on a Saturday to look at my roof. It took about two weeks to schedule them to come out to replace my roof, due to financing and having to wait for a break in the weather. "Miguel Amaya is not only an honest, fair and hard working person but he has integrity that is truly rare (and uplifting) in this day and age. I live in Westfield, NJ and had him redo my front walkway. Miguel went out of his way to make sure that I was satisfied with the finished product. He was forced to return because I was sold defective SEK Polysweep product by an unscrupulous vendor. Mr. Amaya redid the work by replacing the SEK product with the much better Gator Maxx polymeric sand. if you need hardscaping work done, hire Miguel Amaya, a decent, hard working, honest professional. STAY AWAY from Empire Building Supplies (see my review on them) and SEK Polysweep -- the product is garbage and the people who make/sell it know nothing about being good people who TRUTHFULLY care about fairness and/or their customer. Mr. Amaya would not accept my paying him a second time although he was forced do the job twice through no fault of his own. It was so unjust ** and yet so telling of the type of decent human being that Miguel Amaya is. Unlike the others I dealt with (at Empire and SEK), he was more interested in doing the right thing by me than he was about money. How rare. I was lucky to find such a good person and worker. I highly recommend him."

"Sought out Phil Long Construction from their great Home Advisor reviews. From start to finish, quote to project completion, we were completely satisfied. Tore off old rotted cedar siding to replace with vinyl, tore off old porch roof and replaced with metal roof, outdoor electrical outlets replaced, dryer & kitchen exhaust vents replaced. Daily clean up took place. Work area well organized and cared for. Time and care were taken, this was not a quick in and out job. We appreciated the communication back and forth regarding details. The install was performed in temperatures in the high teens but they had the old window out and the new window sitting in the frame within 3-1/2 hours.
