"They did a good job overall, but - they were very slow.  They began the job in June and diidn't finish until late August.  I've never had a room added to a house before so the slowness may be the norm for projects like this.  But they would tell me they would be back the next week and I wouldn't see them until the week after that.  The excuse always was that they were waiting for the inspector to come and review and sign off the work.  They did good work - when they were here.  Since I work, I couldn't always be here to let them in once the room was enclosed, so I gave them a key to the back door that they put on the room.   The job was fiinished in late August and today is December 1st and I am STILL WAITING FOR THE RETURN OF MY KEY!!  The last communication I had from the owner of the company regarding the return of my key was in OCTOBER when he promised to drop it off that day or the following one.  I haven't seen him yet.  I have e-mailed him three times requesting that it be returned, to just mail it to me, and I've gotten no response to the last e-mails.  Whenever he asked me for payment of money so they could purchase supplies, I readily gave him a check without hesitation, so why is it so difficult for him to return my key?  When the job was finished, I asked for his business cards so I could promote his company to anybody who asked me who did the work, but I will not do that now, nor will I hire them again if I have another job in the future.
