"This is an update to an A rating I gave at the time they did the work in July 2015, I could not edit the original review. I was pleased at the time but each year since the driveway has deteriorated and they do not return calls or come out when they say they will. They did repair one area 2x when they came out to reseal the driveway the first 2 years but I now have many large cracks along the driveway that are getting worse all the time even though there's no heavy traffic on it and I've tried to reseal/patch them. The old driveway under this one had no such cracks. The drain they installed had a side access designed to be plugged if a pipe was not installed. They put the plug on the inside instead of the out. The plug keeps falling out which wouldn't happen if installed on the outside. When it's out water fills the drain and washes out the dirt and stone from around the drain box and has reached the point where a sink hole now exists. The asphalt is breaking off and falling into the hole and the drain has cracked from lack of support around it. I'm going to have to fix it myself but it will never look the same. I've included pics of what their work looks like less than 4 years later. I called Ernie last summer and he said he'd come look at it but never did. For $10,000 I should have a nice looking driveway for many years especially when I paid another $1600 for 2 seal coats by them as instructed."

"It is a pleasure to deal with a company that shows up, exceeds expectations, and leaves with no issues-this sums up my experience with Foothills Concrete. I called multiple concrete contractors to have a driveway extension installed. Some didn't return calls, some showed up but didn't follow through, some were unprofessional. Rowdy III showed up on time, answered my questions patiently, and provided a timely estimate. Rowdy provided advice that made our project turn out much better than expected. When the time came to do the work, his crew came and worked carefully to minimize messes, were friendly, helpful, funny, and did a beautiful job reshaping the yard to accommodate the driveway-making it look awesome. Everyone on the crew was personable, and my wife and I enjoyed talking to them while watching the progress. After the driveway was complete, they cleaned up any messes, leaving the area better than when they arrived. I am sometimes difficult to please, and rarely am I completely happy. I can think of no negatives and am blown away by the finished product! This is one of the best experiences I have had with a company and I wholeheartedly recommend them for any project!"

"The estimator was good at returning calls and answering questions. The crew was adequate while working on the job. However, when I called the office a few days later to ask a question about the job, I felt that the supervisor became very unprofessional. (For example, he informed me this was a big company that does "much bigger jobs than driveways.") Based on my phone interaction with that individual, I would advise against using this company. Furthermore, I have since noticed that there is overspray from the sealcoating spattered all over the bottom of my garage door."

EXTREME Green Pressure Washing was conceived for a singular purpose: to provide the very best cleaning service with the most eco-friendly methods available.\n\nUnfortunately, we found that the available methods weren’t good enough for us, so we systematically examined every stage of the pressure washing process to make improvements, creating custom-made pressure washers and a bespoke reclamation and filtration process to achieve the results we knew were possible.\n\nThis singular effort is what caught the attention of the Tennessee state government, with whom we have been working closely to develop our technology to the point we can be permitted to work anywhere. And because we already exceed the standards set out by the EPA for the whole country, we hope to soon take our approach nationwide.

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Alcoa, TN

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
