"Found Smith Lawn & Tree on Angie's list.  Called and got prompt response from Jack who came out to give an estimate.  His estimate was ball park of what I expected to pay.  In addition Jack gave me several helpful hints regarding other questions and problems I had.  <br /> Jack sent an e-mail with the scheduled time for carrying out the work.  I e-mailed back to request another time because of a personal conflict.  I did not hear from Jack in two days, so called the office to get the date changed.  The office woman was very accommodating.  She apologized that Jack had not gotten back in a timely manner, stating that he had had a very tight schedule and they were doing something to alleviate that so he would be able to be more responsive to his clients.  <br /> The crew (Nicholas, Juan & Rubin) arrived about 7:45 to begin work.  They worked solidly all day - until about 5:30.  Getting that garden box down was difficult because it was made from railroad ties and heavy rebar.  Their work and clean up was perfect.  Nicholas said he would put in flags to show the irrigation person where to install the new sprinkler heads.  The irrigation person came out a few days later, installed 3 new heads, changed out a broken one and checked the entire system for function and coverage.  I asked about an additional head in the back.  He said he would be glad to install it but said he did not think I would be happy with the result.  He said the additional head would drop the pressure and decrease coverage.  I agreed.  Will have them do further trimming on my bushes which are currently blocking some existing sprinkler heads. <br /> All in all it was a very positive experience <br />"

"The new patio extension is beautiful!  I love the brick pattern and the color looks great with my existing patio paverstones.  The contractor carefully prepared and finished this backyard area leaving a square cutout area for me to landscape around my big shade tree.  This addition addresses a drainage problem and muddy eyesore that was the backyard.  The finished product is a joy to behold and will be utilized as an entertainment area and play space for the kids. <br /> Joe, the project manager, was very helpful with his advice and expertise in planning the parameters of this project.  He listened to our concerns about drainage and our desire to utilize the existing patio in place.  This project fixed our drainage issues and exceeded our expectations to provide us with a wonderful addition to our home.  <br /> The contractor's workers were polite and obviously skilled at their job.  The job was done efficiently - on time, and at the price quoted during the estimate.  I will recommend this company to others and will come to them for all my future landscaping/hardscaping needs."

"Overall the deal for mulch was a great value and the crew did a good job of spreading it. Lilly was very good with communications and helped me set everything up while I was out of town. <br /> The only issue was that after the visit, half of the area in the backyard was missed and there were several bags of mulch stacked around the side of the house. Turns out one of the crew ran into some bees and they had to go home early! I can understand, but they never mentioned this to the office staff and it took a few phone calls to figure out what happened. They came back a week or two later and finished the job. <br />"
