"Amazing work. Patched all walls and even some larger holes in the theater from running of wires. Painting was first class, they took their time and you can tell they have a lot of pride their work. Moved everything out of the way, very careful to not get paint on anything (even screen in theater), cleaned up and put everything back. Trim work looked great and painting was smooth and no streaks. Even painted some wall covers to they'd match. Better price than other estimates and started right away. They've done a few jobs for me and will be back to do more."

"I had a very frustrating experience with this company. I had foundation issues in my home I bought this past January, so I reached out to Hughes Construction to see about them working on my project for me. After initial contact they said they required a structural engineer to draw out plans prior to beginning work. So they recommended Cole Engineering. I used Cole engineering and was charged $2,500 for the plans to repair the foundation. Once I had the plans, emailed them to Hughes Construction, and tried coordinating follow on construction. Tami Ludwig reached out and said they weren’t able to assist me. I’m out $2,500 and was able to help out their friends engineering company with business while Hughes left me high and dry. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!"

"Hartman Painting did a lovely job with the painting. They patiently worked with me to arrive at a contract that addressed all of the specific concerns I had with such a comprehensive painting job. They were attentive to detail in all areas of the home, including the trim around windows, and preparation of walls for painting. They are careful to use a high quality of paint, to finish rooms with sufficient coats of paint, and to use a gloss that will look attractive in that area of the home. They made suggestions for what would work well in various rooms regarding the type of paint, gloss levels etc. They marked the walls and areas so that my color choices for specific parts of the home were followed; although my color scheme was a two-tone approach (one trim color and one wall color) throughout the house and not complicated, they did everything accurately. They have good light carpentry skills, of the type required as part of painting work - e.g. sanding down doors and making adjustments to trim areas, hardware catch plates and hinges. They were respectful about protecting the floors and other protective measures I requested for covering areas of the home during the work. There was one small area where I wish they had covered more fully when sanding, but that was the exception. The results have the beautiful, finished look of professional painting and the work was completed within a reasonable time frame. In addition, they replaced door hardware for me - knobs and hinges. They spent some time working out an adjustment to the hinges so that the doors would close properly and not bind, a problem created by newer hinges not being made with metal/construction that is as thick as the originals; they arrived at a creative solution for shimming the hinges so that the doors would move and shut freely. They also are willing to return and touch-up the painting after I have some additional work done in the home that could lead to some knicks and 'dings' on the walls. They are very busy, but have been considerate in trying to accommodate my scheduling needs as well. The painting crews are unusually well-organized so that a senior crew members is there in a supervisory capacity with your job at all times, and one feels that everything is being handled in a trustworthy and responsible manner. I was impressed that they never leave waste at your job site, but have an environmentally sound site where they dispose of all painting-related materials and waste. They are EPA- Certified to handle lead paint, although that was not an issue in my home. No one attempted to send any undesired materials or waste down my toilets or utility sink drains. The work crews that have been there thus far have all been respectful and trustworthy persons to have in my home: along with the quality of their work, Wayne Hartman seems to emphasize this aspect of his business, which I think is as important to many homeowners as the quality of the work itself. I found Wayne and his crew leaders to be very responsive and available for communication about matters large and small during the painting and hardware work. I would highly recommend them and plan to work with them in the future."
