He made sure to protect all soffits and recessed light fixtures. He also applied insulation around the attic opening and cover. The price Dave charged was well less than a competitor, and Dave was much more thorough in his initial assessment. Dave and his worker made sure to clean up where needed. "Comfenergy was very professional thorough from the in-person estimate thru installation. Even though we didnt have a full energy audit, they still go over your entire home and tell you what should and what needs to be done. Some of the little things we did ourselves, or had our handyman. Then Comfenergy did the big part, seal and insulate the attic. We still had late 80's insulation and never a sealing done. It ended up being over an 8 hour project. They were not the cheapest estimate, but definitely the most in-depth review and recommendations provided. The two man team that did the actual work were very professional, showed us the work as the progressed, and good clean up job after all was done."

Of the responses supplied by Angie's List, NoVa Insulation was able to schedule the first in-home appointment. They asked for a half hour to assess the opportunity. (Another company wanted to set up a 2-hour appointment with both owners present, which looked too much like an invitation to a sales pitch, so we passed on them.) Jeff, the owner, arrived when expected, took only as much time as he needed to gauge the materials and effort involved and work up a quote. He was pleasant, focused and professional, providing a price without pressure or drama. His crew was able to perform the work within a week, arriving on time and taking extraordinary care to avoid damage or leaving debris. All-in-all the experience was first-rate, from responsiveness, to price (best of all the quotes), to quality of work. If you can get them, do so. Highly recommended!"

"From the start of the estimate with Jon to the insulation project with the Team Leader Carlos, the project went well as expected. Jon was very professional and knowledgeable. He did not try to up-sale services I did not need, and I appreciate his honesty. Jon went over the appropriate insulation for the attic and the garage ceiling to bring our home to a comfortable level. Carlos and his crew did a great job communicating with me while performing the insulation. Carlos immediately notified me of a leak he discovered from the attic fan and temporarily paused the work on the attic and moved to the garage ceiling insulation while I addressed the leak. As a customer, the only comments/suggestions I would give to the crew is: (1) make sure they keep their tools and materials off the lawn (2) make sure the plastic wraps from the materials they use and trash does not get blown away to the neighbor's yard/driveway, and finally, (3) ask the homeowner which bathroom the crew can use while on-site. Overall, I am very happy with Comfenergy and their service. In fact, I have already recommended them to a curious neighbor."
