"We thought Xtra Care did a tremendous job for us. We obtained about 6 quotes for the installation of a brick paver walkway in front of our house, and Xtra Care was at the low end of all the quotes. Cleber of Xtra Care assisted us, and he was the only quoter to prepare an actual detail diagram of the planned work -- the others just verbally described that they would replace an existing old flagstone walk with pavers. The Xtra Care installers were very professional, and took notable care with the work. While we had originally considered all the quotes high (even Xtra Care's lower quote), when you see the work being done, you realize why this kind of work does carry some expense. We were very, very pleased with the work. We were away for the last day of work, and came back to find every detail addressed. In fact, we had just cleared a small area of the yard near the path, and because my husband had mentioned in passing about our plan to grow grass there, they actually seeded the area for us while we were away! We had the walkway done in anticipation of a sale of our house to add curb appeal, and the walkway has really added a pop to our pictures! We would definitely recommend Xtra Care to others."

The work included excavating and leveling the site, pouring and re-enforcing the slab, and selecting and purchasing the stone, brick and other materials. In addition to the patio, Mottern also filled in an approx. 12 sq/ft section of brick wall where a door had been converted to a window. The filled-in brick and mortar matches the original 50-year old wall perfectly. Overall, the entire Mottern crew was prompt, responsive, professional, and very skillful. "I had a flagstone patio that was sinking and uneven due to subsidence. The company removed all the stones, rebuilt the base with a proper slope away from the house, and reinstalled the stones. The price was fair (I had some higher estimates and some lower) and the quality of work was excellent with a good attention to detail. I most appreciated that Lazaro offered a vision for a better patio. My original request was to just replace the stones the way they were, but he made recommendations on how to improve the patio (with the same amount of stones) that led to a much better final project."

"The cement on our slate patio was cracking and in need of attention. Mr. Sanchez and his crew did a great job of grinding out the old cement, stabilizing the stones where necessary and putting in new cement. The crew was efficient and polite. The job was finished on time and for a fair price, IMO. Before and after photos (of one small area) attached. [One note: The grinding out of the old cement created a signigicant amount of dust. much of which went into the adjacent garden. My wife was/is concerned this will affect the chemistry of the soil, thereby affecting the health of her plants. Just be aware.] Highly recommend."
