"Levi Reed, Josh P. and John W. were very polite and professional. The communication was great. They explained what they did and answered any questions we had. They installed sister joists with floor jacks to stabilize the flooring."

"Roof framing and siding went great. They did not start when they said they would but it wasn't long after that. Then Super storm Sandy hit and I guess they were very busy with emergency repairs. (no damage to my house from the storm) It took over a month till the porch posts and railings got replaced and then they were done incorrectly. I had to have them come back and install the correct angled brackets for the railing from the porch to the sidewalk, and that took a few more weeks.

"All windows were replaced with double hung vinyl replacement windows, except one which KJ Construction had replaced a year prior. Two large, inefficient windows were replaced with two windows hung side by side. That idea was suggested by the contractor since it would be much more cost effective than ordering custom sized windows, so it saved us a lot of money. We also had several narrow side by side double hung aluminum windows throughout our upstairs that were replaced with single, large double hung windows that were still standard stock size. This was also suggested by the contractor and cut the cost of replacing those upstairs windows almost in half, and reduced labor cost on the job. The contractor didn't have to make these cost-cutting suggestions, but it showed to us that he clearly has the best interest of his customers at the heart of what he does.
The work was all completed within a week, including caulking everything and interior trim replacement where needed. We had problems with leaking prior to having the windows replaced, but since the the new windows are in, insulated and caulked we've not had any problems with water finding it's way inside. Kurt was courteous and pleasant to have around, and was very conscientious of heat loss and dust and debris by taking the time to hang plastic barriers around each window area before he performed the work. This cut down on a lot of interior mess. When he was done he took the time to clean up, and even vacuumed the areas where he had been working.
When he was here working he was extremely industrious, not taking any breaks nor taking a lunch break. Several days he worked almost until dark in order to stay on schedule. We love our new windows, both how they look and how efficient they are, and will definitely have KJ Construction back when we have work to be done in the future.

"I would get water in my basement after heavy rains. I interviewed 4 companies for the installation of a sump pump. I chose Basements Love Us because I was impressed with their sales person, who was informative and educational. He was also willing to answer every question I asked down to smallest detail. The crew that came to my home were polite and professional. They were on time, and very organized. The job was done in a timely manner and my home was left clean as if they had never been here. I would recommend Basements Love Us to anyone. They should be commended on their work and work ethics!"
