"We hired Kevin Riel to install a chain link fence in our yard for our new puppy. We requested a quote based on the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. The quote was scheduled promptly. He kept in touch via text and came when expected. He was super easy to talk with, and help figuring out what we needed and discussing the pro and cons of different materials and locations of the fencing. No hard-sell, just solid information. He gave us a place in his schedule of upcoming jobs but let us know he would do what he could to get us in sooner - which he did! Kevin and his son showed up on time and did beautiful work, ahead of schedule. We are delighted with the fence, and with the overall service and value. We will call Kevin anytime we need fencing and would confidently recommend him to friends and neighbors."

Electrical Contracltor, Master Electrican, fully insured.
"Great after talking to Mr Collins he suggested it was a GFI outlet issue. I didn't think there were any in the basement of my 100 yo house. He said he's come out after work. After we hung up I started checking and sure enough the whole string of outlets is on a several GFIs. I never noticed they were GFIs because they are all beige instead of red/black like the others. This call saved me a lot time and money. I've waited 4 weeks for an appt from another company. Guess from now on I'll now be using Collins Electric!"

For all your fencing needs Since 1960 FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED
"Ten weeks after paying 2/3 of the total, hardly anything has been completed. The company is a small family owned business, with no customer service skills and not even the courtesy of returning phone calls. You need to chase them for information. Their installation staff would take off during the job for extended periods. The job took forever to complete and was done in installments. The worse company I have dealt with in my 37 years of home ownership."

We pride ourselves on listening to our clients' needs and addressing those needs by creating a custom landscape design or maintenance plan while adhering to their budget. We design very effective low voltage lighting systems, patios and walkways built with pavers and natural stones, decorative ponds as well as your more typical landscaping needs such as lawns, plants and irrigation systems. Our landscaping plans are as elaborate or basic as you wish. Our staff include MCLP (Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional) and certified installer of pavers and segmental retaining walls and we are a certified designer and installer of low voltage landscape lights. Tony has owned and run Artistic Landscapes since its inception, in 2004, and he was elated to be recognized as the "Match of the Game" by the New England Patriots Vince Wilfork for his mentoring efforts through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program of Massachusetts.
"Despite the weather, it was cold, rainy and snow on the ground, the three people that worked here today kept working. I questioned whether today would be a good day to get all the leaves but I was assured if not today, they would be back for the rest. I would say 95% of the leaves were picked up and the remaining leaves are under snow. I don't know how they did it. All were very pleasant and worked hard. I don't usually leave reviews, but just had to today. We've had this company here for yard cleanup three years in a row now ... Will see you again next year. ... Thank you very much!"

A wood fence costs an average of $2,700 upfront while an aluminum fence costs about $4,610, making wood the less expensive option initially. That said, wood fencing demands regular upkeep to safeguard against bending, warping, rot, and pest damage, which increases long-term expenses significantly. Aluminum holds up with minimal upkeep, so it often balances out—or even beats—wood over the years.
The required fencing is determined by measuring your property’s perimeter and accounting for any obstructions or openings such as decks, driveways, and gates. Measure the overall border length and then subtract areas that do not require fencing. While you can map it out with a tape measure and some graph paper, a fencing pro can take precise measurements and confirm you’re ordering the right amount of material before installation begins.
Most metal fences last 20 to 50 years. The exact life span depends on the metal’s quality, how well the fence is installed, and how often you maintain it. Opting for premium materials and a skilled installer helps the fence shrug off weather and stay sturdy with only basic upkeep.
Electric fence repairs average about $200, but you could spend anywhere from $100 to $400. Your final bill hinges on how much damage there is, how complex the fence design is, and local labor rates. Most repairs cover both materials and labor to get the fence working—and safe—again.
