He installed a new bathroom light fixture; installed a new storm door; installed new casing and sill for a rotting exterior double door; removed bedroom carpeting and treated stain/odor areas; painted bathroom and bedroom. "<p>Had a problem with a nest of bees that made their home in the ceiling of a small bedroom. The house had been empty for many years and the hive was quite large. I had a beeman remove the hive, but it required him to cut a hole in the bedroom ceiling. So I needed someone to prevent the bees from returning, remove any remaining honeycomb, and repair the room.</p> <p>Unfortunately, I had trouble finding a contractor who was willing to work with me since I am located in New Jersey. Doug Weaver was willing to work with me. Since the house was empty, he could stop & start the project as he needed, but he did not delay in the repairs. He started before I expected him to, and I understand his workers even worked on weekends! (I have a neighbor who acts as caretaker & kept me up to date on the progress). We were able to communicate by phone to get the job done in a timely manner. I will be more than willing to work with Doug again, since my old house has many projects that still need completion!</p> <br />"

"The job went very well. I was surprised how fast a crew of 5-6 people could tear off the roof and put a new one on. We had some rain in the forecast for later in the day and I was a little concerned but they assured me that it would be watertight before any rain fell. To followup on the job, we just received a gift basket containing Lancaster County food products as a thank you for using their services, which was a nice touch on their part."

"Replace insulation in my garage and also insulated water pipes that have a tendency to freeze in really cold weather. Insulated in the basement area of my home also. Replace a window, door lock, and did concrete work around chimney outside.  Also secured siding where it had come loose and attached gutters that had come loose from the house. He was very efficient and answered any questions that I might have. Will probably use his services again for some painting in the Spring."
