When they were replacing it I was informed and shown pictures of how bad the damage was. The roof has extensive rot in many areas. All Under went above and beyond and cut out all the old rot and replaced. They went into great detail to show me the rot and how it was leaking for years, but not into the interior of the house. "Since we have had ice dam damage during two major snow storms over the past 10 years, our roof was 16 years old, and are planning to sell our house in 2019, we asked Power to assess the roof condition and give us an estimate for replacement. The salesman did a thorough inspection and pointed out several instances of wear and damage to both the roof and fascia boards. Although he spent much too long going over the Power products and the procedures (till too late at night), we were impressed by Power's multi-faceted approach to preventing ice dams and other water damage. What sold us on doing the roof now, however, before selling the house, was the salesman's assurance that the warranty was backed by a national company and transferable to the new owners. Since we have Gutter Shield gutter guards, he said that we'd need to have those removed by the Gutter Shield installer before the roof was done and then replaced afterwards. He did not tell us (and perhaps did not know), that replacing the fascia required removing the gutters and that they would need to be replaced exactly as before in order for the gutter guards to fit. This turned out to be a major problem. When the pre-install inspection manager came to go over the procedures and schedule the work, he told us that the gutters would have to be removed and there would be an additional charge to reinstall them. Because of the misunderstanding, he waived the re-installation charge---but apparently also did not know about the problem of re-installing the gutter guards onto gutters that were no longer exactly in the same place. Power sends a large crew, so the roofing job is normally completed in one day. We had some rain, so it took two days, which was not a problem and the roofing part of the job seems to have been done quite well. The supervisor of the roofing crew was super helpful and kept us abreast of everything they were doing. The fascia and gutter crew, however, had no obvious supervisor and did not communicate with either us or the roofing supervisor. Moreover, they used our vinyl deck railing to support a ladder (unnecessarily in our view) and damaged the railing, and they remounted the front gutter with too steep an incline (by a factor of two or more). Power sends a quality assurance manager after completion of the job to make sure everything is in order, provide the warranty information and collect the payment. When we read the warranty we discovered that Power's labor warranty is not transferable, contrary to what the salesman had told us. (The GAF shingle warranty is transferable, but that's true with any roofing company.) Since this was the decisive feature that led us to contract with Power, we raised objections. The quality assurance manager called the regional project manager, who prepared an addendum extending the labor warranty to the next owners. He also offered to pay the cost of having the Gutter Shield installer rehang the gutters with a correct incline. The pre-install inspection manager suggested that Mr Clean MagicEraser could be used to polish up the damaged railing (which we have successfully done) . Overall we were pleased with the company's thoroughness, quality of product, and communications. We would rate the work an 'A' except for the untruthful statements of the salesman and the poor communication and sloppiness of the fascia crew. We did not receive other quotes for the work, so we suspect that Power's was on the high side, though not too much out of line compared with what we paid in 2002. If the Power roofing system prevents future ice dams, any extra cost will be well worth it."

I requested a free inspection, which was very thorough, inside the attic space, and on the roof itself, complete with pictures and video. Kyle, the roof expert, explained options for me, different materials, different prices. He also offered different payment suggestions, so I could choose what would work for me. The quality of the materials, the work, the efficiency, were all superior. Mike, the project manager on the actual day of the job, was very clear in communicating as well. I am extremely pleased with the work, and particularly with the people. Excellent!"

"From the quote through installation, working with Clear Choice was a great experience. Chad, the salesperson, explained our options and gave us a great price. I'm especially concerned with sustainability and wanted not only a product and installation that would last, but Clear Choice also stood out because they recycle the old shingles. Our project manager was Casey. The day before, he discussed ventilation options with us. I originally wanted to replace the box vents with a ridge vent and the end gable vents with eave vents, to maximize the roof space available for future solar panel installation. However, after extensive conversation about the pros and cons and what Mass Save weatherization work (insulation, air sealing, and the ventilation) had been done in the attic, we decided to stick with the existing setup, as there had been no problems with it thus far. During the installation, the crew of 5 plus Casey arrived punctually at 7:30AM, and the crew expertly set up tarps and removed the existing shingles in about 90 minutes. The new shingles were installed, and cleanup was complete by 4PM. The house looks great, but Casey left his card with instructions to call his cell phone anytime if we found debris that had been missed, or for any other questions/concerns. Everyone we dealt with was knowledgeable, courteous and professional. I highly recommend Clear Choice Home Improvement!"

"NMTI (who we hired as Tru Blue Construction Inc) were superlative. Juan and Ramon were excellent communicators, answering all of our questions in a timely, professional, and endlessly patient fashion. Our project was a big one - our self-managed condo building had a severely leaky roof that needed a full replacement, including redoing a roof deck - and I imagine we were not the easiest clients since we had tons of questions and a lot of "cooks in the kitchen" with different owners and condo trustees weighing in. Juan and Ramon took it all in stride and were incredibly helpful for me in my role as project coordinator. Their team was clean, efficient, effective, respectful, and friendly. They worked both quickly and thoroughly, and were good to always keep me updated as the scope of the work evolved as we found new (but not unexpected or spurious) issues during the demo/rebuild process. Juan was an excellent advocate for us and our project when the city was slow to approve permits/send inspectors. It was a big and intimidating job for us as homeowners, and NMTI/Tru Blue made it feel much less overwhelming. We're thrilled with our new roof and deck and so pleased with the experience of working with Juan, Ramon, et al."

"After 3 decades of every few years replacing various pieces of rotted wood trim on our house with PVC I decided to take the leap and replace all the wood trim that had the potential to rot all at once. LCT Construction had just done an excellent job replacing my roof and I picked them for the trim work. The salesman James who I worked with was more knowledgeable than all the others I've dealt with, was direct when discussing various options and details, and was committed to doing quality work. It's hard to judge these days, but I think their price was very reasonable. At the beginning of the work James came by and we reviewed exactly what was to be done to make sure there were no misunderstandings. The day before work started they dropped off the material they needed for the job along with a dumpster (with wood under the skids to protect the driveway) for the discarded wood. The workers were here every week day with the exception of 1 rainy day even on days in late November when it was very cold until the job was complete. Each day they started around 8:00 am and didn't leave until it got dark, and they cleaned up before they left. All my interaction with everyone on the crew was friendly and relaxed and we were happy to have them around. On the last day they cleaned everything up and removed the dumpster that evening. Every aspect of their work was excellent. I'm no expert, but I've had a lot of trim repaired over the years and this is the best I've seen. I couldn't ask for better workmanship. During the work they discovered some rot that needed to be repaired. They did it for a reasonable charge, and there was never any attempt to up sell or expand the scope of work. The only negative was that they told me the day before the agreed starting date that they needed to slip by 2 weeks. I wish that hadn't occurred but compared to everything else it's not significant. If I ever need trim or roofing work again I'll definitely contact LTC. They were completely professional and easy to work with, did exactly what they said they'd do with no hassle, and I couldn't ask for a better result. I recommend them without reservation for any roof or trim work."

"THey removed some rotted siding on my side porch and replaced it with pressurized wood exactly fitting in, then painted it to match. ALso pressure washed the slate roof of the porch which was covered with lichen. ALso cleaned the gutters out. THe roof looks like new! DId it all in one day and were very efficient and polite.
