"This job was completed efficiently and professionally. A design specialist came to test and measure every detail for the project. The crew arrived with everything needed for the job. They worked very hard to install Waterguard in the concrete floors inside around the foundation to the sump pump basket. They also installed Geo-lock anchors to support a block wall that was bowed. This company has 36 years in business and provides excellent results and professional customer relations. Call Amer. Wtrwrks for a free estimate. You will not be disappointed. A wise investment of $11,270."

"WFY took a dingy, somewhat insulated, storage-poor attached garage performed and "extreme makeover" that enable us to store our 2 cars PLUS many, many other items, in an attractive completely finished (with trim, paint etc.) and we still have empty shelves to use as we need them! WFY built an awesome "floor" in the garage attic that enable us to store items easily via an pull-down stairway. After nearly 2 decades of frustration we have an area that is so beautiful that people frequently comment that we could live in it. With the excellent insulation we've added a garage heater which enables us to complete projects (painting, staining, etc.) any month of the MN year. As our home's first owner was also the builder, they created multiple long-term issues and those were solved by WFY during the course of this project - which required ingenuity, patience, and flexibility to address all of the issues and provide us with the functional and attractive space we now enjoy - who knew it would be such a gift? We are so thankful to Rob (WFY founder) and his colleague Scott that we recommend them in the highest possible terms!! You can hire them to perform magic for you, too!"

"Price was way lower than we expected. The crew showed up as we were leaving the house for an errand and were gone when we returned; less than an hour. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!"

"I appreciated the accurate estimate for the work as well as the advice on preventing it from happening again. The crew arrived on time and raised the walkway section so it’s level now. They also caulked between the driveway and garage slabs."

"Craftsmen Home Improvement did excellent work replacing our roof due to storm damage. They were professional, everyone from the salesman, to the office staff, to the three men who removed our old roof and installed the new one. They did not disturb our landscaping and they cleaned the area every evening when they left. It was surprising quiet. Their nifty Equipter machinery carried the old shingles to the dumpster in our driveway. Even the dumpster was not obnoxiously large. Thank you Craftsmen Home Improvements for this work and your fine work installing our new siding years ago."

"We are very happy with the results of the exterior waterproofing Drew and his crew performed. Drew was the only contractor willing to try to accomplish the waterproofing task by preventing the water intrusion rather than dealing with the water once it was inside the foundation. They removed a 12" by 20 ft section of concrete driveway along the house, excavated a trench to the front yard and installed a "french" style drain along with rock and plastic lining. They also regraded along the front of the house using the same method and connected to the drain line. The entire thing terminates in a rock filled underground pit. It has been eight months since the work was completed and there has been no water intrusion from the fall through the spring. The entire crew was very professional. They took care to not cause any more lawn damage than absolutely necessary and cleaned the driveway almost completely. We were realistic knowing not every spec of dirt would come off without some rain, but they left almost nothing when they left. We will be calling Drew for at least one more project that we are confident will be performed with absolute perfection."

"Anthony and his crew were fantastic to work with! We were very impressed with Anthony when we first met and he quoted our project. He took the time to not only measure up our project but also looked at the slope and grading and explained how (and why) new concrete would be poured. He offered great solutions to our project scope and we were very pleased with his attention to detail and with our final results! We would highly recommend using Anthony and Twin Cities Concrete Works for your concrete projects!"

"We used Northland Coating this year to seal coat our basement floor. It will last for decades. It all started when we had some basement flooding and then decided to use Luxury Vinyl Plank on our basement floor. We purchased the flooring (special order so it couldn't be returned) and then started tearing up carpeting and pad. What a disaster. Whoever glued the pad down must have danced across the floor with glue. Circular patterns, waves and open areas - no logic. The pad was a nightmare to get up, especially where they just seemed to pool the glue. But that wasn't the worst part. The floor was so uneven with lots of valleys and a really high spot in the middle. We couldn't lay the flooring on that. So we rented a grinder and tried to even out a lot of it. It was too much variance. I started calling places to level the floor with fill. Either they were booked out for 6-8 weeks or one company wanted $6000. Everyone else was $2400 - $3000. Then I obtained two quotes for sealing the floor instead. One of the companies we previously had done business with came in at almost double the price of Northland. Plus they wanted to speak to my husband too. Seriously, if I am paying why should you need to speak to anyone else? Northland was great. Justin came out and quoted our project. We were originally going to have most of the basement coated in 2 phases since we had very large items that couldn't be moved out (a piano was one of them). There was one area we were going to leave carpeted but ultimately we had the basement done in 3 phases. Scheduling was easy. It is a messy project as they do some additional grinding. They try to keep the dust to a minimum but it is dust and gets around. Justin gave me a link to the supply company and I was able to pick a custom mixed color for our floor. You can choose from many colors or design your own. You can also choose the flake size. The supply company also had a tool where you could upload your photo and show the floor color in that space. It was easy. Choose some texture in the floor or it will be slippery. The floor looks great. I even have the piano metal wheels just sitting on the floor and they are fine. We scratched the floor slightly moving a heavy object but it is hard to see unless the light hits it just right. This is a solid floor. It has been months now and it is holding up just fine. Plus it is waterproof. Jake and his team did a fine job. They completed all 3 phases and cleaned up nicely. We do have seams at the phase transitions but you won't have them if you complete the work in one phase. There was some chipping at the tile transition to the bathroom but Justin offered to pay to fix it. We just negotiated the price down for phase three. I was able to fix it myself using some supplies from Ace Hardware and a YouTube video."

"No call was received until I reached out. The person I talked with said they were very busy and can't keep up with all the calls they get. It sounded like they didn't want to waste time with a small job like ours. We asked for deck repair so I'm not sure why we received a construction company as a referral."

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Andover, MN

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
