"Maybe they do amazing work, I have no idea. I called 3 times over the course of 2 weeks and submitted requests for estimates twice. I spoke with someone 2 or 3 times on the phone and each time I was either told to go submit a request on the website or that he remembered my note and would go find it and email me with a time to set up an appointment asap. It never went any farther than that. If you are too busy or have other things going on and can't respond, that's totally understandable but please just say so so I don't waste my time. I'm rating a C b/c I'm going on the assumption that SOMETHING was going on that would legitimately explain this otherwise inexcusable behavior."

"<p>Project took 4 days.  Days: 1) Diamond grit, prep repair  2) Primer  3) Body coat-epoxy  4) Polyurea coating.  Epoxy is 36 ml thick and is 100% epoxy with no added fillers.  Crevices in floor were repaired and troweled with epoxy.  They coated up the wall at no extra charge and brought their own generator and HVAC.  The workmen were extremely polite and kept me informed at all times. They are an absolutely outstanding company and a complete pleasure to work with.  They have done work for Saints Stadium, Boston Scientific, Mall of America and U of M.  BBB gives them an A+ rating with no complaints. </p>"

"In the spring of 2015 we received hail damage from a storm. We filed an insurance claim and began looking for a reputable contractor. Our neighbor recommended and guy that was recommended to them by a friend, as being one of the best in the business and knowing his trade. That guy was MIKE WALK with Over Under Construction. Mike showed up on time, knew what he was talking about and didn't make us feel pressured to do anything. He was there for the Insurance inspection, on time again, and went well out of his way to help us through out the process. He explained everything clearly and had the math down to the dollar. The work that was performed was speedy and spectacular. We continue to constantly get comments from our neighbors and strangers as to the quality of work and how beautiful the house is. Mike stopped by periodically through out the repair process to make sure everything was going as planned. also the siding workers were very nice and polite and also on time and worked well into the evening. They also picked up after themselves every day before they left. All said and done the final bill was the same as the quote, the work was great and Mike is awesome. "Black Bear Builders did an excellent job with our unfinished basement. Other contractors I contacted prior to Black Bear Builders would not reply or be willing to take on the job. We had several items that were out of code from the time the house was built; therefore, there was a lot of effort with wall demolition, new electrical, new insulation, HVAC, and framing adjustments. During their work, they noticed our crawl space had moisture, which then led to the discovery of rotted siding. Stuart was open and honest, took the time to explain everything, fixed any problems, and made everything look amazing. There was constant communication with scheduling and providing updates, they were respectful of our home, and always cleaned up any mess after a long day’s work. Stuart and Tyler are deeply knowledgeable and display their skills with the work they do. Our family could not be happier with everything they did. "My wife and I are extremely pleased with the end result of this project. It looks so good. The epoxy coating on the parameter foundation blocks and the concrete step to the house ads a perfect touch to the new clean look. I can now sweep the floor without dealing with concrete chips, dust, rough surface and cracks. We are also extremely pleased with the entire process of the project, including inspection and estimate, work scheduling, work completion and final inspection and satisfaction follow up. Terry, Ron, the lead workman and partner were all great to work with. I told the workmen the reason I chose Great Garage Floors was that they had done a neighbors garage floor 5 years ago and I really liked the job that was done and how well it was holding up. The lead workman told me he had done that job too. I could sense his pride that he takes in doing excellent work. The cost was competitive and obviously much less than doing a full concrete floor replacement."

"We had a mixed experience with Norsk Concrete. The work they did was good quality, and done efficiently. They didn't clean up after themselves very well, but the main problem was that poor communication resulted in some of the expected work not being done, and we were not able resolve this with Norsk afterwards. After the work was scheduled, Randy and I were not able to connect before he began the job. I left him a message the evening before, and when his team arrived before him that morning, I asked them to have him call me when he arrived. He never called, and by the time I was able to speak with him, the work was halfway done - excluding a small portion of sidewalk whose replacement I believed was included in our quote. The quote we received was mostly a list of measurements without much description - I had walked Randy through the backyard, explaining what we needed done - so it was difficult for us to know that it had been skipped. Randy said it was too late to complete this disputed section that day, but that when he and his team were back in the neighborhood they could come back and finish it. Based on this I expected to hear back from him within a couple of weeks. The Norsk team did not fully clean-up after themselves (they left several chunks of old concrete for us to haul away ourselves), and left a 4-inch gap between the un-replaced sidewalk and section they did replace (see photo0. All of this suggested they would be back soon. They did not return, and we did not hear from them. We called the Norsk office after a couple of weeks to check in on when they might return. We received no response from Randy. Since then, we’ve called the office multiple times and been told multiple times that Randy will call us back, but he never has. We've made it clear that we will of course pay for the additional concrete, we just want some idea of when they will return. The last time we called, we were told that Randy is “irritated” with us, despite never actually speaking to us himself. Because Randy was not willing to spend much time talking to me on the job site, and was never willing to talk to us on the phone, we continue to have a misunderstanding about what our expectations were for the job and what was delivered. Better communication from the beginning would have gone a long way, but the refusal to work with us to resolve the issue is the real problem. Update: Due to some ponding on the concrete they put in, Norsk came back to replace that section, and completed the originally missed segment of concrete for an additional $300, which we felt was fair. While we still wish Norsk had been more communicative throughout this process which would have helped alleviate the confusion, we appreciate they returned to correct an issue with the concrete. We’ve upgraded their review from D to C"
