"I recently removed the unstable backyard deck that came with our house and found a pretty terrible drainage situation beneath it. We had a negative grade that made it seem like flooding our foundation was intentional. Nohe called immediately after I reached out to discuss the issue, and asked some good questions, then we scheduled for a visit a couple days later. He showed up a few minutes early, assessed the situation, we discussed a plan and I had an estimate that afternoon. They were at my house first thing the next morning and they were done a few hours later with new drainage installed for the gutters and the yard, the regrading finished, and new sod ready to water. Throughout, the team was on time, every time. The guys on the team were professional and efficient. The team went above and beyond and even fixed a couple other smaller issues on our property. "We have had a disastrous and extremely frustrating experience with PermaSeal. PermaSeal installed a drain tile system at our house. Months later we realized that they broke a pipe that they installed which resulted in the drain tile system pouring water into our ejector pit and flooding our septic system. There was a huge hole in the pipe, and it was grossly negligent that it was installed this way. This problem flooded our back yard with sewage and caused several thousand dollars worth of damage/costs. When we realized what was happening, they sent out a tech who found the broken pipe and completed the repair.  However, when we asked that they reimburse us for the costs we have had to incur or give us a partial refund to cover them they have completely dropped the ball.  We have called the manager we were told was handling the situation multiple times only to hear that he’s waiting to hear from another manager who’s handling the case. They won’t give us any contact info for that manager and say that they will reach out. It has been a month since we notified them of the problem, and all they can tell us is that “they’ve passed our case on and we’ll hear from someone.”  When you are a potential customer, their communication is excellent and timely. However, once they have your money, it seems they couldn’t care less about if the job was done right or addressing problems. We paid PermaSeal an enormous amount of money for the drain tile system, and thousands more for damage/costs that they caused. We shouldn’t have to wait weeks for a phone call."

"Good work in general; our basement no longer sees water for over 3 years now, which is the most important thing. But there were some real issues: The biggest issue is that USW did not adhere to local electrical codes, and did not arrange for a final inspection of the project. So we didn't find out that it wasn't to code until years later, and now it's a big hassle and minor cost to fix and get the permits. Ask your local gov yourself what you need to do for permits and inspections; don't rely on USW! USW said they would seal any foundation cracks found along the way; they didn't do this until I bugged the warranty dept about it (but they did do it eventually). USW sent someone out for the "annual checkup"... over 2 years after the install. It's a good thing they (eventually) did, because they discovered the backup battery wasn't charging. Now I know to check this stuff better myself. Prices also vary wildly and are kind of negotiable (I'd give more detail but I'm out of space)"
