However, he and the person doing the measuring and quot;Neglected??and quot; To mention that they could not and would not put the seam at the sink (thus a 3and quot; seam)....as I requested but instead the seam would be around the corner and 24and quot; wide. Since granite has patterns, that seam is now very obvious. The installers were fabulous and did an excellent job but they couldn't disguise that seam. <br />"

They came in drew the template, then allowed me to pick out the exact slabs of granite to be used, how I wanted the pieces laid on the slab to avoid a color variation I didn't like. There were questions with the quote and how it was calculated. I believe there was an error on the original quote. And when specifics were asked, the answers were sketchy at best. "My wife and I wanted new hard woods in our house but had very specific requirements that we could not typically find locally.  My wife wanted a dark floor while I wanted extreme durability in a natural hard wood.  We did our homework and decided that Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) most closely matched what we wanted.  <br /> After looking locally for something that fit the bill, the flooring we found was either over $12 sq/ft (too expensive) or not dark enough.  I started searching on-line and ran across Brazilian Direct.  Their prices seemed reasonable (a bit over $6 sq/ft for what we wanted) and they even had a tinted (dark) version of the floor we liked. <br /> After several weeks of questions and further research, we decided to place an order.  We we worked with a representative named Sannon who helped us every step of the way.  She sent us samples, instructions, guides - everything to make us more comfortable about our eventual order.  Our order came right on schedule and the wood was really beautiful.  After several weeks of the required acclimation we had a local installer put the floor down.  They did an excellent job and we really love our floor.  There was very little waste and in fact we had at least 3 boxes left over. <br /> I highly recommend Brazilian Direct.  We are considering using them again for a deck project we'd like to do in the future. <br />"

"They arrived right on time and worked around the carpet cleaners and adjusted their order of carpet install to accommodate that. They then moved upstairs and the work they did looks terrific. HJ Martin were the original carpet and tile layers when we built our home."

"I have used several Granite Gold products and like their effectiveness because they do what they are supposed to do. No strong fumes or irritating skin problems. The granite counter top daily cleaner and polish are so easy to use (spay it on and wipe with a paper towel) to keep all your stone products clean and shiny. I was surprised to see how effective the grout cleaner is. I sprayed it on some dirty tire floors in the bathroom and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I went over it with the scrub brush they provide. It looked clean then, but when it dried, it was much brighter. This is a 40 Year old bathroom tile floor pictured. "<p>Gave estimate in June. Selected his estimate over a lower one, as I decided the quality of the shingles was better in the Kottke contract. Signed contract in July. Said it would be summer or fall. In September I sent an email asking about the date. Finally set the date of September 30 for start. Shingles and supplies arrived on my front lawn the Thursday before - but late enough in the year that it didn't matter. My house is small, but has a fairly steep roof and dormers. Had a smaller than normal crew, so took 4 days. The roof looks great, they seemed to have done an excellent job, the workers were friendly and hard-working and clean-up was very complete. I have a lot of flowers and shrubs around my home, but nothing was seriously trampled or damaged. They moved what they needed moved and put things back in place. I was out of town the day they finished, but when I returned everything was in great order and the dumpster was gone. I had contact with Mr. Kottke through email to his phone - and he always responded in a timely manner.</p> Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend this business to others. <br /> <br />"
