"THEY WERE LATE AND APOLOGIZED AND GOT RIGHT TO WORK. TOM & JOSH WERE PROFESSIONAL, POLITE AND THEIR WORK WAS CLEAN, NEAT AND, WHEN A SAW BLADE BROKE, WERE ABLE TO IMPROVISE AND COMPLETE JOB IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY ALSO EXPLAINED HOW TO MAINTAIN SOFTENER. WE LOVE OUR NEW SOFTENED WATER AND WOULD DEFINITELY USE PARAMOUNT PLUMBING AGAIN. THE PRICE WAS ABOUT PAR FOR WATER SOFTENER."

"Had issue with septic tank overflowing when heavy use such as washing multiple loads of laundry. Had 2 other septic tank companies and both immediately went to "you need to replace your drain field". No analysis or testing just straight to the $10 K to $12 K estimates. Then Jeff from Tampa Bay Plumbers came out and explained their process. The end quote for a new drain field was about 4-5 k less depending upon if we had to have a a pump also installed. That was awesome to hear in itself. But first he said that we should do the following, pump out the tank and then get to the distributor box and see if may be something was wrong there. Wow he was going to actually diagnose the problem. Refreshing. So their techs came out the next day, one pumped out the tank while the other dug around the distributor box. Low and behold the box was filled with sludge. The system is over 20 years old. He thoroughly cleaned out the box and tank of sludge and the pipes leading into the drain field. Those too had some sludge about 2 feet from the box but he was able to clear them as well. So although we suspect the drain field may need replacement in the future, we think we have a few more years before that is needed and appreciate a company who wants your business by not jumping to the most expense "fix" when it is NOT necessary. Professionalism and honesty earns them my plumbing and septic work from now on. If you are smart you will always call them to at least get a quote for any of your plumbing needs."

"I had a leak inside one of the shower faucets and I had asked for Free Flow to come and change the faucet and shower head.  George was the name of the worker.  He arrived and was very friendly, courteous, and whenever I or my wife would ask a question, he was very considerate to let us know what we needed to know.  Upon further inspection and a thorough explanation, we discovered that what I wanted done would require much more work than anticipated.  George explained that he could change the cartridge inside the faucet or with his recommendation, use a different type of faucet and shower head than the one I purchased from Home Depot  (the Home Depot item was much higher priced than the one that George was able to get through his distributor). Afterwards, I had George change the other shower faucet cartridge in our guest bathroom.  He also replaced our outdoor faucets and repaired one of our toilet seals.  He did all of this with our approval.  We then talked to him about replacing our water heater as we knew that it was getting old.  He said he could call his boss and find out what the schedule was like.  If there was time, he would do that in the same visit as well.  When Scot, the owner, said he would take care of the rest of George's schedule, George went to his distributor and got our new water heater.  After all of the chores were completed, I was really impressed at how he cleaned up after himself.  This is a first for us in regards to plumbers.
After doing all of the work, George was able to also give us some counsel on what to do with the remodeling of our kitchen sink and making some additions.  We will use Free Flow for this project in the future.
The total could have been much higher for the job, but they gave to us (as Angie List members) a discount.  Normally it would have been 10%, but on this occasion, they gave us over $300 in discounts.
Their demeanor, courtesy, and cleanliness will have us recommend them to those we know need a plumber and we will  use them again. Angie's List - you hit a home run on this one!

"Chris was great in reviewing our irrigation system and advising what should be adjusted including the watering programs. He spent a lot of time explaining things and replaced some sprinkler heads that were not performing as they should. We hired Affordable Irrigation for the annual maintenance contract. Hire this company for your maintenance needs!"

"We had quarts countertops installed and tile work in the kitcken and three bathroom remodeled with quarts countertops installed as my project. I am extremely satisfied with how well they communicated with me. The various work crews were polite, professional, and highly skilled. The level of detail to ensure the project ran smoothly from the demolition, installation, and clean up was beyond my expectations. This is a top notch organization and would be the first company I will call for future projects."

"We moved into our new home with a well 5 years ago.  No one had lived in it for several years.  The existing system had never been used.  (After the house was built it went into foreclosure - we had a several year old, brand new house as no one lived in it). So, the existing well/water system was brand new, unused but had also been neglected as it just sat there.  We had no idea what to do, was the system worth keeping? do we start completely over with a new one? The water that came out of our faucets smelled horrible, so we knew something needed to be done.  After trying to figure out things on our own, calling around and speaking to companies who wanted to replace the whole thing, we got Steve's number from a neighbor (we are each on 1 acre w/ well water and septic) and he took all the worries away.  He serviced what we had, made some recommendations that were very wise, added a tank and some other items for a fraction of the cost of what everyone else recommended.  Besides a few maintenace type repairs over the years (which are always completed in an extremely prompt, fairly priced fashion), everything runs great.  The company also now does monthly maintenance for the chlorine/saline (I really don't know what it is) and keeps things running smoothly.  I don't even have to think about it - our water is wonderful, smells great, taste great.

"Excellent! McHugh's Residential Construction remodeled our kitchen a few years ago and did a wonderful job so we hired them again. This time they remodeled out bathroom. The bathroom is beautiful! They are hardworking, prompt, reliable and trustworthy. They were in communication with us throughout the project. They arrived when they said they would and worked all day. This was a full remodel. The work included; removing the drop ceiling, installing recessed lights, vanity light, a vanity with granite top, sink, faucet, mirror, tile shower, glass enclosure, wall tiles, paint on the walls, trim and door and more. It is beautiful! They listened to all of our concerns and helped with decisions. For example, one of my main concerns was the shower floor. I did not want anything that would be slippery at all. Bryan McHugh picked out the shower floor tile and it is perfect! We are planning on hiring them again for the guest bathroom and will complete another review when that bathroom is complete. We would highly recommend McHugh Residential Construction"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Aripeka, FL

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
