"Absolute Asphalt was a great experience to work with as they did what was quoted in full as they seal coated the drive and added new asphalt to an area that had none along with fixing the potholes that where bad. Very professional and I have more work at other properties that I will hire them again for! "

"Joshua was very nice until job done and he was paid. Shortly afterwards and after 1st rain, I noticed a sizeable puddle. When I called him he said he told me there were no guarantees. He said I needed a top layer of sealer for $1000. I had already paid him $5800. Seriously!! Before I hired him I asked numerous times about process and procedure. I asked about 1stlayer of aggregate/pebbles. He said that was only for concrete not asphalt. He offered no warranty although he advertises. Now I have grass growing up through the asphalt. It's only been 4 months. Don't think he is licensed. DO NOT HIRE HIM."

FAQs for asphalt paving repair or patch projects in Arlington, TX

With routine maintenance, a new residential asphalt driveway can last 15 to 20 years. In regions with heavy rain or freeze-thaw cycles, plan on extra maintenance to hit the upper end of that range. Concrete surfaces last even longer, from 20 to 25 years. Regular sealing and quick crack repairs go a long way toward preserving both materials.

You can pour new concrete over an existing driveway as long as the base slab is solid. Pros often place a three- to four-inch overlay to create a strong bond. If the old concrete is cracked or spalling badly, it’s wiser to remove it and start fresh to ensure durability.

Keep the surface in top shape by sealing it on schedule and tackling damage right away. Roll on a quality seal coat every three years for asphalt, and reseal concrete as needed while patching any flaws you spot. Staying ahead of small issues prevents bigger, pricier repairs and keeps your driveway looking sharp.
