We had not heard of LFO, so were a little suspicious when they said they could install in 3 weeks (other fence companies were quoting 7-9 weeks; one never even called back). Sure enough, the showed on right on the appointed day with an expert and professional team. Sean, the owner, went out of his way to point out repair needs in our existing fence. He also gave us great advice along the way to help make our finished product perfect. Sean came by frequently throughout installation days to make sure the project was going as planned, however, his team were clearly very experienced and needed little supervision. They were polite, expert, and meticulous. They cleaned everything up beautifully when finished. We are so happy with the both the experience and the product. It all went fabulously. We had used Sino-American Consulting previously to rebuild our garden wall, add a fence and level the backyard, so we knew they were professional, competent, timely and did outstanding work. We started in mid-March and the project was finished in May. In our previous project, I had been impressed by the owner, Mason, and his frequent communication regarding the status of the project, his suggestions to improve the outcome and the professionalism of his team, and this project was no different. His workers turned up on time and worked very hard until the entire project was finished. Mason was also very patient regarding all the other chaos in our house at the time - I gave birth to our son the same time as the project was getting started, my mother visited for 2 weeks, we were going through the DC schools lottery/visits for our daughter, and we planned an overseas trip for our baby's christening at the end of the project.

His team were very attentive to the fact that we were living in the house during the basement renovation, being very careful to minimize noise and dirt, and always laying drop cloths and cleaning up at the end of every day. Mason and his team are perfectionists and every little detail was attended to. The basement was immaculately painted, the dry wall edges were a perfect 90 degrees (even when the original basement was very uneven) and little touches such as child safety features were added even without me asking. I am still impressed with the workmanship when using the basement. My daughter loves the new space and I love the fact that all her toys can be put in one place!

"We'd had a section of fence (square post picket with top and bottom rails) knocked off line by a fallen tree limb, and generally needed some pickets replaces and the double gate hardware replaced.  He did a good job on everything except the off-kilter section of fence, which he inexplicably nailed into place in it's displaced location.  All he needed to do to straighten it was lift the horizontal top rail and nail it back into place, then repeat with the bottom rail.  I eventually had it fixed by the painters I hired to repaint the fence.  But for that oddity, he was very good to work with, and came back the next day to replace the gate hardware since it required larger hardware than he had brought with him the first day.
