"The entire process was seamless! Clark was a great sales associate and helped us navigate what type of flooring we wanted for our kitchen, dining and powder room. He was knowledgeable and non-pressured. Dave & Dan did a great job on the hard surfaces. Omar & team were beyond exceptional with the carpet install! We’d definitely recommend The Carpet Guys!"

"I called this company and was able to get an appointment at a convenient time in relatively short order (within a week).  The technician and an extra person who was in training came to my house right on time.  My Carpet had not been cleaned on over two years and though it was not heavily stained was dingy and showed dirt particularly in high traveled areas.  The team applied some pre-treatment and then used what looked like a very new and well kept steam-vacuum system to clean my carpets.  I was very happy with the results as spots and high traffic areas were like new when they were finished.  The results were much better than I would have expected with older carpet like I have in my house.

"Designer: Sharon Fielhauser met with my wife and went over the ins and outs of her ideal dream closet system. My wife met with her after researching two other options. Ikea Closet System and Container Store Closet system. Hence this review we went with Closets byDesign. Yes they are a little more but everything is custom designed for and your needs and installation is added in the cost. There is nothing wrong with the other companies but Closets byDesign one our business. The wait time I think was 6 weeks or so from design to installation. Installer/Builder: Izac showed up what I would have called lunch time but he called work time. (around 11:00 AM on a week day) Izac never stopped for the three hours at all walking in and out of the house as he had to cut and fabricate outside and install inside our primary. We offered him lunch and he said he was good. But he worked really hard and deserved a break. Izac was a one man team and went over every detail with my wife he had any concerns. For example he offer to have a set of drawers even with the wall or line up with the window. Izac made little to no mess and as indicatied in CBD policy all i had to do as a home owner was fix the holes in the wall from the previous closet and paint if we so wished. but honestly most of the holes was coved by the new system. We have discussed hiring Closets byDesign for other works and would recommend you do the same."

"What a great experience! Len came to my house with samples of carpet for me to choose from. Gave me valuable advice on what type of carpet would be good for my needs. (I have two golden retrievers) No high sales pitch. He showed me pictures of his work, measured and gave me a price. Easy as that. The carpet is everything I wanted and it looks great. The installers were very hard workers and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely use this company again."

"Installation went fine. Installers were very good and polite. Also the Saleswoman Tamika was very helpful with explaining the different carpets and flooring for the entryways. It made my decision easier. There was also the need for a small repair to the installation. Tamika made sure it got done promptly. I would recommend Independent Carpet One."

"Mr.Z was very helpful and showed exactly what we wanted in the price range we asked for. In fact, they still offered the exact same carpet in a patterned Berber that was ours and has been a mainstay for many families over the last 20+ years.

Mr. Z explained, these new carpets were different . A lot of older carpets were oil based products that were now made from organic corn oil. Allowing better wear, cleanliness and a longer life cycle. He showed us a few better grades and the advantages and allowed us to make the decision with absolutely no pressure at all.

The installation crew was punctual and professional and cleaned up after installation quite well.they left leaving us respected and relaxed in Rochester Hills. Great Job guys and see you next time we need any type of flooring needs.

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Armada, MI

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
