"It all went very well. It took some time to get the contractor out to do his survey, but Lowe's stayed on top of it ensuring that we were happy with the timing of the installation. We purchased very nice Larson doors and used Lowe's before but it was the other store on the east side of York. This service and product was about the same as we received from the other Lowe's. The installation was done professionally. The only issue we had was with a former employee from Lowes who filed our purchases separately and the contractor had to run back to the store and get the storm door because he thought we were only receiving the exterior door. The gentleman who works in the door department now was a go-getter and serious about taking care of us. He stayed in touch with us throughout the process. <br />"

"Last year Floor It Flooring installed tile flooring in 2 of my bathrooms and it worked out well, so I figured I'd have them install carpeting in my house. Unfortunately this job didn't go as well. When the owner Mike had visited my house weeks ago, we discussed pricing and various grades of carpet/padding which included looking at large swatches of carpet to compare texture/color etc.. I chose a low-medium quality carpet since I'll be renting out my house later this year and wanted something decent but not extravagant. During the conversation Mike stated that my house had 6lb padding and I thought since the carpeting wasn't going to be extremely thick, a better padding would help - so I decided to go with the 8lb variety and Mike said it would be a step above what I currently had so I was optimistic. Yesterday morning Mike and his assistant arrived to install the carpeting and I immediately noticed how thin the carpeting was as well as the padding being the same thickness as what I had. Now I was under no illusion that the carpet would be thick and plush - but it's so thin that when you walk on it you feel the concrete below. As I tap the carpet floor with my knuckle it makes a clicking noise - the backing material is that close to the surface. So when I asked Mike about the padding not being any better than what I currently had, he said that he "misspoke" and assumed it was 6lb. I explained that it was my impression that I'd be receiving padding that was thicker than what I had since he told me it would be a step above - I mean, that was the point of choosing the 8lb in the first place. He again said that he thought it was 6lb padding when he first visited to discuss the installation. Now had I been given accurate information from the beginning, I would have chosen 10lb padding - but it was too late. Sensing that he wasn't understanding just how confused and unsatisfied I was, I asked why the carpeting felt much thinner than the swatch I chose weeks ago. Mike simply said "that's the one you chose, so I don't know what else to tell you." Needless to say I was frustrated and bitterly disappointed with the whole situation since he made no effort to address my concerns. It was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've ever had with a vendor - to feel like you're being taken advantage of and not be able to do anything since it was too late to cancel the job and get your money back."

"They provided us with an estimate quickly, and the price was very reasonable. They installed the carpets and the dining room floor in a timeframe that worked with our schedule. Great communication every step of the way, and their quality of work is top-notch. We have already hired them for an additional project, new floors in our basement. Awesome company, we would highly recommend World Flooring to anyone in Central PA who needs carpet or laminate floors."
