We upgraded from the minimum 80% efficiency to 95% and Dan's prices were within 8% of two others we spoke to, and the lowest, so I'm comfortable we got a realistic price. Happy to recommend him."

"They clean my chimney every winter/spring. I like their personal service. George is helpful and not pushy. He knows his stuff. they charge a little more than others for their basic service (chimney sweep) but he is very affordable on anything else you might need (I needed some cracks repaired and a new gas pipe). They are professionals and friendly. I like that he works with his sons. <br /> George had installed some Solatube skylights in my hallway a couple years ago, and this year he "talked me" to get one more in the living room. They have really nice new ceiling fixtures... it looks great. He installed it at the same visit, even though I had not scheduled for that. no hustle, just happy to "Brighten my day" as he said. <br /> <br /> Now I can enjoy nice evenings by the fire without worrying about safety, and during the day, my house is bright as day! <br /> I recommend them for anything to do with fireplaces and also I highly recommend the Solatube skylight. "We are very pleased with Phil and his crew at SLOCO.  A year and a half ago we met with him about HVAC for an addition we were putting on our house.  He sells many different kind of systems, but we decided that the Mitsubishi mini-split system fit our house well.  We get over 100 degrees in the Summer and in the 20's in the Winter on occasion and the systems have been able to keep up with both the heating and cooling just fine. <br />  When we started to remodel the main house, Phil had originally suggested a significantly expensive, but very efficient propane-fired furnace.  After an energy audit (suggested by him,) he realized that the improvements were going to significantly reduce the size of system we needed and sold us a mini-split system that saved us about 40%.  COnsidering that we are on solar now, that 40% savings is compounded by the propane savings of about $1200/year. <br /> I only gave a "B" on punctuality because a guy had to run out for parts or something once and I'm worried that the review won't be considered trustworthy if I gave all A's. <br /> We've been in over two years of remodel h*** and I have a long list of sub-contractors I intend to character assassinate on Angie's List later, but I wanted to publish  the best reviews first:   <br /> Phil has been great to work with, saved us money, and I would unreservedly recommend him and SLOCO. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Terrific ! <br /> The company repaired my awning, removed concrete piers, set new concrete piers, set new 4x4 posts, painted awning, painted trim in the sunroom, painted the back fence, and did some plumbing service work. <br /> All the work was extremely well done, and all the employees with whom I spoke were highly knowledgeable and polite.   I am very pleased with the work.   I will call them again if I have any other work to be done. <br />"

"Logan arrived on time.  He was professional and knowledgeable. After his inspection he gave us our options based on the age and condition of the chimney.  Unlined but in overall good shape.  But, because of the configuration of this old chimne,y we decided not to have it cleaned, and use it as a wood fireplace.  Options will be either to put in a wood insert - which would be difficult based on the "dog leg" configuration of the smoke chamber and draw, or put in a gas insert. We will be researching the gas insert for possible installation next year. <br /> I would recommend their services. <br />"
