"Met with 5 different roofers for an estimate, but these guys were the most thorough, very cool technology for us to see video of our roof, inside the attack view, so we could see what was needed. Kyle, our rep, was very knowledgeable and didn't try to sell us on things we didn't need, worked to make it affordable for our options. Then Justin and the crew came and did an awesome job replacing the roof in one day. Highly recommend!"

Company was hired to correct the issues caused by a prior roofer whose incompetence has cost me additional thousands in repair. On Top Roofing installed a ridge vent that the prior roofer only placed on the roof, re-flashed the chimney where prior roofer failed to install to match new rook lines, re-surface flat rook where prior roofer ignored. In addition, On Top Roofing was used on apartment buildings to help close up the roof and eliminate a bat problem. On the Top Roofing is the only roofing company to use. It takes a while to get on their schedule, but they show when they say the will and do the job they say they will do. Only hire On the Top!! You will not regret."

"This started as a relatively small repair, complicated by some water damage over the years. Required replacing two sheets of plywood, ice and water barrier, shingles, removal and reinstall of the vinyl and fascia. Tar Star was upfront with their suspicions and analysed the situation correctly. As it turned out later, they were correct with their predictions. The root cause was improperly installed shingles in one section of the roof, which were cut too short, which caused the water and ice accumulating under, eventually making its way to the board and rotting it out. The job took one day overall, split up in two parts, Sunday and Monday. I provided part of the material (shingles). The actual cost was in the estimated range. Tar Star provided good recommendations, conducted the repair efficiently, without unnecessary work or upsell, focusing on quality, longevity, and cost efficiency. I know I will have to replace the roof at some point, probably when installing solar equipment. This bought me a few more years for my old roof, which is what I wanted. Overall, nice guys. Recommended!"

"I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Brad Green of Colonial Restorations. We have lived in our antique house for 16 years now, and like most old homes, some of its previous repairs were good, some not so good. Tom Green worked on this house for its previous owners, and his work was, by far, the best in the house. So, we continued to use Colonial - Tom, then Tom and Brad - as we learned the ropes about caring for an old house - our first house, old or new. Over the years, they have replaced sills and posts and beams, and rebuilt parts of our loose stone foundation. Most recently, they replaced the last original posts in our basement, (one of which was a tree trunk still with bark on it), including pouring new custom footings, in advance of our finally cementing the dirt floor. The work here is never easy - nothing is level, nothing is square - but the Greens' end result has always been beautiful - strong and made to last. Their prices are fair and without hidden costs....maybe not the lowest bid you might get, but you know it's a real bid that they will stand behind. They triage projects for us, giving us an idea of what other items will likely need attention in the next few years. We're not done with this house yet....we've never won the lottery, and there's always another repair..... and plan to use them again soon. I feel confident knowing that the next owners of this house, whoever they might be, will see the quality of the work and know that we cared enough to have the right people help us with the ongoing repair and maintenance of a 275+ year old house. I am a real person, a real customer, with no ties to the company, and was more than happy to write this review."

"Howard construction dis a great job replacing my roof. I initially called them after a big storm to replace some shingles. They came out the day after the storm (Saturday) to do the repair. I was so impressed with Howard that I had him quote me a replacement for the roof. He was quick to provide the quote and was able to get the job done quickly. The roof looks great. "The company that cleaned my gutters told me that the fascia board on one side of the house was rotted and needed to be replaced. So, I sought several estimates, including from Mass Gutters and Roofing, which had been recommended on a neighborhood social network website. Instead of picking the cheapest company (heeding the well-known admonition - you get what you pay for), I decided to go with Mass Gutters. When Mark Richardson came to see the house, he pointed out several other issues, including the need to add a gutter in the front of the house over the porch, and the bowing of the wood across the bottom of the porch railing from a lack of support. Based on my conversation with Mark, including his observations, explanations, and suggestions, I felt confident that any work he did would be of excellent quality. I was NOT disappointed! Not only was the fascia board replaced, but the cause of the rotting was determined and eliminated by extending the metal that was too short for adequate protection of the wood. And, in addition to all the work we had discussed, Mark provided a solution to a years-long problem with birds nesting under the roof of the front porch. Metal sheets were installed to prevent them from ever returning. (I look forward to the birds returning next spring, only to discover that they have been permanently evicted!) When the job was completed, Mark checked to be sure that I was happy with the work (I definitely was!) and told me to call him with any questions or problems. Based on my experience, I would unequivocally recommend this business.
