"We have had several projects where we needed a plumber and for each of these projects we hired Martins Plumbing. They were knowledgeable, friendly and fairly priced. They completed the work quickly and successfully in a timely manner. Also there was never any mess left behind. They did all the clean up. Should the need arise we will continue to work with Alex from Martins Plumbing."

"All went well. Plumber advised on options for replacement of failed laundry water shutoff valves. The work included opening a small hole in the wall which was also repaired appropriately. No problems. The work was accomplished with a minimum of disruption."

"When I called I got next day service.  The serviceman was on time and professional.  He tried every trick he could think of to get the shower running properly and avoid tearing out the old plumbing and replacing the shower valve.  Nothing worked so he scheduled another appointment to replace the valve.  I had previously opened up the wall because of an unrelated water problem so the replacement was pretty straight forward.  It was a two man job with the guys on opposite sides of the wall.  The shower works great and I no longer have a leaky outdoor facet.  They have done work for me before and alway did a good gob. <br />"

"Great. My old tub was nasty, stained the finish dull. I checked other reviews for Cream City and very positive so I purchased through Angies List. They came in and assessed the condition, noted I had a couple loose tiles which they could take care of at a very reasonable cost. The refinishing was done in one day, they came back the following day. Awesome job. Highly recommend"

"Our kitchen needed updating several years ago. We had been putting it off as we just didn’t want the hassle and inconvenience. Kim and Greg met us at our house and were able to set us at ease with the process and scheduling. They immediately saw how we could improve our smallish kitchen for better workflow plus just about doubling our existing storage and counter space. Kim is very enthusiastic and has great design ideas. Greg is great at taking the concepts and identifying potential technical issues in advance. Both have very good knowledge of the remodeling industry and provided countless valuable insights and ideas. The whole process was as described and we had no disappointment or surprises. We have no regrets in working with Ward Kitchen and Bath and recommend them to anyone interested in getting a great result and a personal touch."

"Chris explained the process. We appreciate that he suggested the best option and didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. Scott did a great job with the install. He was on time and out in less time than was allowed. He cleaned up everything. The new system works great. We paid more, but the Kinetico system was the best reviewed in our research."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Ashippun, WI

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
