"We had laminated floors put in by Empire over ten years ago and we’re extremely satisfied. I wanted another room and a hallway with the same look. The same salesperson came for the estimate. He said the floors would not have a shine and the planks were not as wide. He also said the quarter round would be “ the same”. The floors are much more orange ( I know exact matches are impossible) . The quarter round is also orange against dark walnut baseboard. It looks terrible. My son looked at it and said” who would do that to someone’s home?” I did say to the installer when he was done, ( we were blocked from the area until they were finished) I hate it!” There was dust everywhere, I was so upset, and we hadn’t been able to get to the bathrooms for hours. I just signed the form so they would leave. I emailed Reece Young from customer service and explained how dissatisfied we were. He had someone named Mike call me and tell me “that’s what goes with the floor .” He followed that with a series of no answers. I asked if there was any resolution, had this ever happened before, …? Of course no one contacted us after the job is done to see how they did. I was only shown a small piece of the flooring before they started and never shown the quarter round. We were also required to pay BEFORE the job was started even though they had a down payment. I would have considered paying part of the quarter round replacement ( same as the other rooms) but was offered nothing! It really looks terrible where the rooms meet. I will be contacting a contractor and paying out of pocket to fix this horrendous mess. Very sorry I wanted 5,4000 dollars to be this unhappy. I don’t think we’re fussy customers . If you don’t want to waste your money please be careful and learn from our expensive mistake."

I called the office at 11:00 the morning of the appointment to confirm it. The woman in the office said she'd forward my request for a confirmation and I'd get a return call. No one called. I traveled from Delaware to Philadelphia, where the house was located even though I had not gotten a confirmation call. At about 3:10, I called again and was told somebody would call me within 5 minutes. No return call again. I called a third time at around 3:40 or 3:45 and was told the message would be passed on for the plumber to call me to confirm he was coming. At 4:00, not knowing if anybody was coming but not willing to wait any longer since they wouldn't call me back to confirm they would be coming, I headed back to Delaware. At 4:14, as I was driving home to Delaware, Bryndon called and said he'd be at the house in 5 minutes. I said not to bother. I'll find a reliable company instead."
