We worked with their team to talk about roofing options, quality of materials, installation standards, etc., and the SHS team was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They gave us a fair and competitive bid and addressed all our concerns. As they were removing the old roof shingles near our dormer windows, they found a problem and immediately alerted us to it, carefully showing us exactly how the previous trim had been installed incorrectly, and we were able to see where water had been leaking in over the years. We worked with SHS to come up with the best option and ultimately decided on new shake siding for the dormer windows. Within 1 day of finding the problem, SHS was able to acquire the shakes we selected and had a crew onsite to do the install to take advantage of the nice weather. Now- the roof is done and it's beautiful, the dormers look like new with shake siding, and our family feels safe and secure from the weather - and proud to look at the house when we drive up. "When we wanted to have our front deck covered and screened in, we made the mistake of having a pair of handymen do the job, rather than a construction contractor. They did a pretty good job of building the additional roof, enclosing the deck, and installing screens, but they didn't lay the new shingles properly to ensure that they wouldn't leak. When we had heavy rain, there were drips and runnels of water coming out of the eaves under the new roof section. Michael Hartgraves from Premiere Roofing Services came out right at the appointed time, and quickly identified the problem. He determined what was needed to repair the roof, and emailed me an estimate on the spot. It required tearing off the existing shingles, putting down underlayment, including waterproof membrane along the valleys where the two sections of roof joined, then laying new shingles from the peak to the front of the house. We were so well impressed with his professionalism that we canceled an appointment with another roofer to evaluate our problem. The next week, Michael's crew came right at the appointed time and did the whole job in half a day. They brought a large high sided trailer to haul off the removed materials, and left no debris behind. We've had some heavy rain storms since then, and there were no leaks at all. "Robby did extensive repair work on a gable roof extension over the front entrance deck. He also did siding on one side of the house, and repair work on other siding in areas where somebody else had messed it up. In addition, he installed windows on the end of the house that he had sided. He trimmed those windows inside and out. Plus he did a roof overhang across the entire front of the house. I am extremely happy with his work. Robby does quality work; and he also uses quality material. Also, he’s very flexible, and accommodating. In addition, he’s honest, has a good character, and is very fair with what he charges. I actually plan to use him for other work, in the near future."
