"Don and his partner showed up at the agreed upon time and started work right away.  They assisted with moving furniture and covering nail holes.  The work was originally scheduled for two days but completed the two coats in one day.  Don returned the following day to inspect the work and see how it turned out.  I wasn't happy with the two coats that were applied and he left and returned with more paint and applied a third coat by himself.  He was committed to customer satisfaction and would not accept the additional money that we offered for the extra work. I am very satisfied with the work performed and would call him again. <br />"

"We are so happy with the outcome of this project! We did our due diligence when looking for someone to do our exterior paint and stain our deck. Joe immediately had a great first impression, as he was knowledgeable, realistic, and trustworthy. The quote he gave us was very fair. The Modern Improvements team was courteous and professional throughout the entire process, and made it easy for us from start to finish. The actual work that was done was superb, and there was a meticulous attention to detail. Joe has a lot of great expertise and had some solid options to help us narrow down what we wanted. He was also a great communicator. The job was done nice and quick, but the team checked in with us daily to provide status updates. They walked the property with us at the end of each day to show us what was done and what would be addressed the next day. Jeremy’s carpentry skills were amazing and there was a lot of tedious work done. The paint job came out great as well. We have been getting so many compliments! "Bruce arrived to start the job on time and is quite methodical, with everything going in the right order. He has the tools to do ANYTHING and completely filled our 2 car garage with tools, materials, cabinets, etc. Since everything was replaced, he had to use skills on so many levels, including dry wall, insulation, flooring, electrical, plumbing, granite work, painting, heating, etc. I think he truly excels at molding/trim work and the cabinet installing. Perfection. An example of true attention to detail: Since they had to cut into our floor joists (beneath the bathroom) to accommodate new drain systems, Bruce took it upon himself to find a local metal fabricator to create steel U-shaped supports so that our floor remained as strong as before. Some people would have left that out.... He wanted things to be correct and often asked for our approval...making any changes we requested along the way. He is approachable. He had a great, professional introduction the first day we met and proposed a budget. Why we did not give Bruce all A's---and if there is any down side---it would be a rather severe minimizing of the total amount of time needed for the project. As a builder, he is hard to fault in that we did stick to our agreed budget and if he was working for weeks beyond the planned completion time...well, it was not costing us any more. I believe Bruce to be a very honest person and understand that any building project has delays. Toward the end, as another project became reality, I believe Bruce lost some focus here. That said, we are happy with our finished bathroom and make a positive recommendation. Your Designs LLC can be trusted. ((I am having trouble porting over pictures...sorry...if I can add them later, I will. For now, I can say I think it looks just as we planned...and this company delivered!))"

"They were right on time, very organized, very professional in apperance and work. There were three installers and there was no wasted time. The job had been written up and diagramed and everything went smoothly. They finished in the time I had been told that it would take and thoroughly cleaned up and except for the new gutters, it was like they were never there. I have had some real trash from work that I have had done, but these guys were great. <br /> I usually don't like to recommend anything, everyone has different views and opinions, but if my sons or friends ever need gutters I would certainly recommend M and M. <br />"

"August 31, 2020 I can't tell you how PLEASED I am to have picked Phillip Matthews from Angie's List. His company is called Elevation Contracting, out of Almont ,Michigan. Phillip is the Owner and Operator of this excellent company. I am 71 years old and widowed and live in my family's 170 year old Centennial farmhouse in Rochester Hills, Mi, With the last storm which brought the most damaging wind and rain it made an awful amount of damage to my roof and the cedar siding. Rain was coming down through my home in the dining room and making its way to my basement. I was horrified and scared. Being alone, I decided to go on Angie's List ( which I trust) and find someone who would come out and help repair my dear beloved farmhouse. I had four companies which were listed and I checked each one that I needed help. The only one I heard from immediately was Phillip Matthews from Elevation Contracting in Almont ,Mi. He was so kind and concerned and said he would be out there to quote and help me immediately. He came out and was the most professional, kind, compassionate, hard working man I have ever seen. He went on my roof and checked the damage and said don't worry I will get this taken care of for you. I wanted to cry. I had contractors before who I called out on different things which I needed help on and they were rude, cold and only cared about telling me how much all the would cost me. Phillip is so down to earth and really is a wonderful person. At 71, I can tell you his parents did a fabulous job raising him. I would recommend this gentleman at Elevation Contracting for ANY project you need completed and done correctly. I give this man the highest recommendation there is. I will use Phillip Matthews for ALL my home projects and have already recommended him to my family and friends. I am so thrilled there are still men out there in this business who will not try and cheat you, and do only what they have to and be gone.
