"You may be reading this because hiring contractors to do work you know little about is a bit anxiety provoking and can result in some unpleasant results. Even though I have a background in engineering and construction, I moved forward with vinyl siding my home with some trepidation. My wife and I did some research and through a friend’s recommendation hired RJ Scalzi and Sons. The work scope included replacing fascia boards, rake boards, gutters, shutters and downspouts and installing vinyl siding. Jason and Matt showed up on time, and it very soon became clear that they were extremely skilled at their craft. Through every step of the project, they took measures to minimize inconveniencing us, including location of work vehicles and work benches, preventing damage to lawn, shrubs and trees, securing artwork on walls and shelves to prevent damage, communicating updates on schedule and timelines and maintaining a neat work area. Not only did it appear that Jason and Matt were talented, but it was also obvious that they have honed an extremely efficient team that executes work safely, quickly and with the highest quality. Two minor unexpected and out of work scope problems arose during the project that instead of dropping on my lap, as they rightfully could have, they took action and got resolved. Over the days Jason and Matt worked on our home, we were constantly impressed with the quality and efficiency of their work. A major plus was the professional, considerate and friendly demeanor both young men exhibited throughout the project. We enjoyed listening to their good natured banter, that didn’t slow them down one bit, and interacting with them. The completed project looks great and met all of our requirements, a neighbor even stopped by and asked for an estimate. Jason and Matt’s ability to combine high quality efficient work with very winning personal ways made the vinyl siding of our house a great experience and this may sound strange, but it was fun to have them around. US pro painting did a wonderful job with flawless painting, reinstallation of lower cabinets and installation of new curio glass cabinets. The prices were very competitive and much more reasonable than other companies. They didn't try to nickle and dime us and also respected our time when giving us a quote, unlike some larger, national companies we received quotes from. They set up and completed the entire job in a whole day (about 12 hours- we had 3 layers of roof on our house). Freddy checked in on the job site intermittently throughout the day and he and his crew were very professional. This was a few weeks ago and we have not found any scraps or nails left behind.
