"We had a great experience with Rob Hammond! He was professional and his prices were fair. We recently purchased a new home, and through our inspection were told we would need many repairs to our chimney. Rob came out and cleaned the chimney for us, and also assessed/inspected what repairs we truly needed (which thankfully were far fewer than what had been suggested by the inspector). I would recommend Hammond Fireplace & Chimney - and we'll be using them again when we move forward with our repairs!"

"Job went smooth. They found two safety issues with my chimney. One was the chimney didn't even have a cap. Had them install one. The other involved the tin flashing around the chimney brick was not sealing properly due to a hole and shingles needed replacing. Will be contacting a roofing company ASAP. Thanks Lone Star."

"The service we got was above expectations. Originally I was told that this service could take up to two hours. The technician arrived on time and contacted us beforehand so we were ready to receive him. He did a thorough cleaning in approximately 30 minutes, showing us before and after pictures so we knew the job was done well. After that, he was on his way so we could get back to our days and feel confident that our home is safe."

"Austin came on schedule, cleaned and inspected chimney. Did an outstanding job. No mess left at all. Also removed leaves from roof that was too steep for me to get on. Swept up patio after removal. Definitely would hire again."

"Awesome! I had a situation where critters kept getting in my chimney and also an issue with odor. I thought I needed my cap replaced, but he was able to create a screen to solve the problem for a few hundred bucks:) And let me tell you my roof is not easy to access. I had another company give me an estimate for a several thousand dollars to fix the thing. Capitol Chimney is a very honest company! I will definitely use them next I need anything chimney related."

"We have a single story stucco house. The roof is composition shingle, with decking, shingle, fascia, soffit, and gutter butting into the left and right sides of a stucco chimney on an exterior wall. Kickout flashing was never installed at the roof edge to terminate the turnback flashing, so water was leaking into both sides of the chimney chase near the fascia. However, there was no exterior evidence of any structural damage. We spent the better part of a year interviewing several roofing/stucco contractors looking for a qualified assessment of the situation, and a bid for a proper solution. All of the bids recommended at least partial demolition of the stucco surrounding the affected areas of the chimney ($3000+), with a disclaimer that there would likely be extensive water damage discovered, requiring a rebuilding of the entire chimney ($10,000+). Since the stucco and chimney seemed structurally sound, we were looking for a practical solution that specifically addressed the leak itself, and Dayton Contracting was willing to provide it. Shane suggested retrofitting the kickout flashing through slots cut into the chimney's surface, preserving the integrity of the stucco at a fraction of the cost. Daniel and crew did an excellent job of implementing the solution, and Shane warrantied the work for 1 year. We were confident that the issue had finally been resolved, after the chimney remained dry following several major spring downpours, until a smaller leak returned in the same area. Shane, honoring his warranty, decided to fabricate and install a new cricket over the existing one, with new turnback and kickout flashing, to totally seal the chimney. Again, Daniel and crew performed the work in a seamless aesthetic way, preserving the integrity of the stucco. Working with Dayton Contracting has been incredibly satisfying. We experienced excellent communication throughout the project. Daniel and crew are truly craftsmen. Shane provides creative and practical solutions, and he stands by his work. We have recommended Dayton Contracting to several of our friends and family, for both smaller and larger projects, and will not hesitate to contact them ourselves in the future, if the need arises."
