"They arrived on time and immediately started work. All areas were prepped to minimize dirt and debris, the sheetrock repairs were done, taped, floated, textured and painted. I inspected while they were cleaning up and I could not even tell where the repair was done. It was perfect! All areas were cleaned so well I couldn't tell they had been there working. I highly recommend this company -- i already have to a close personal friend!"

"Abel is fantastic! He was referred to me by a rep at David Weekly homes who spoke very highly of his work. He was quick to respond to my inquiry, came to the house on time and got the work done quickly! And it looked amazing. He fixed a drywall patch and added texture and paint. He looked as good as new. Abel was also very friendly, easy to talk to!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Austin, TX

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
