"I didn't wound to write this review but I'm pissed. Trim work was done on the entry way of my elderly father's house that looks great . However he had the front door replaced and it was installed upside down making it a pain to open the door. Reached out to the company and was told it would be fixed by the weeks end. I even offered to pay for the correction. It's been almost three weeks and he got gosted. I was even wanting them to come back to do other work. Not good business!!"

"I believe in life, the universe gifts us people when we need them. Mike and his crew at Capitol City Wood Works were one of these universal gifts our family was lucky to receive. We met Mike about 6 months ago, shortly after my FIL had passed away and my MIL could no longer take care of the house. Our goal was to sell the house. The first problem...the back deck (55ft x 25ft) with a not working pool (33ft x 20ft) in the middle of the deck needed major repairs and code upgrades. The second problem, my husband & I live across the country & were overseeing the repairs from 1,300 miles away. Using Angie's list we found 3 different contractors to interview for the job. Each interview we stated we wanted the deck to be safe, use the structure that is there and look good. Mike was the only contractor that did two important things: 1. he sought to understand our unique situation of distance & selling the house 2: he listened to what we wanted for repairing the deck rather than a new build"

"I received quotes from multiple companies over 2 years for windows and new siding. We ended up going with PSP because of their low price point while supposedly receiving the same windows as competitors. We were given an 8-12 week timeline with our quote while other companies were saying 20. This was another selling point. Well, we ended up waiting 6 months with multiple delays. This is with me initiating contact about the status most of the time. PSP did not even want to call me and tell me there was another delay so they had their supplier do it. Once the windows came in, the order was wrong because PSP failed to submit the correct design. So I had to wait another 3 months for the correct windows to come in. As far as the siding, they did a great job as long as it was a straight line. They tried 3 times to cut an arched trim piece and I still have a misshapen arch over my front door. The painters were very efficient and did exactly what I wanted. They were wonderful. Throughout this process, I was dealing directly with the owner because of all the miscommunication and poor organization of the project manager and the office. Since the window install, we have noticed multiple warped screens and even a screen that is completely different from our other ones. We reached out and have since been ignored. So if you want average quality, long wait times, and poor communication for a great price, go with PSP."

"BEWARE! Scam artist! Took 20000 from me and disappeared. I am 72 and retired and it hurt me badly financially. Contact me if you have been scammed by this guy and join other victims in legal action."

"Loved the services and quality of their work. We had them enclose a room and install beautiful french doors. They did amazing work with attention to details and good pricing as well. Will use them in the future for major bathroom remodel when it's easier to get materials"
