"Get a written estimate before the project begins. I was quoted one price to fix a closet door. I thought any and all work to be done on the door would be included in the price. He proceeded to do the work and it seems like every little thing he did to the door was like a license to paid the bill. He gave me a hand written invoice after the fact, without letting me know that any "extras" would be added to the bill."
