Get matched with top electrical wiring or panel upgrade pros in Ayer, MA

"I had an old light fixture removed that did not have a backbox & cover plate to house the wires correctly and a bedroom ceiling fan that mysteriously stopped working. I read a number of Angie's list reviews and felt that VMA Electric seemed like straight shooters, fully transparent and would be able to solve my issues efficiently. (I knew this job would be T&M rather than pre-quoted as it's impossible to say how long something like this would take). But Nancy in the office was wonderful to work with scheduling the work and she gave me the hourly rates ahead of time so I knew what I was going into. I was fortunate with my timing as they just had a cancellation - so they were onsite the very next morning. They solved both of my issues efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and made the whole process extremely wonderful. If you're reading this saying "I just need an electrician or two to come by and fix a couple of lingering items that I've had on my checklist for awhile" - you've found your company. The invoice/bill for the work was emailed to me the following day and it was exactly in line with expectations (a lot of reviewers are cautious about seeing an invoice after the fact). The pricing was exactly in line with the rates previously given and it was itemized with materials, etc. Anybody would be very happy with this group."

"I had Harland Electric come out and check out my electrical panel due to an issue where the electric dryer kept tripping the circuit breaker. (There was water near the breaker that I observed when it did this.) I had a few other minor things I wanted to have them check at the same time. The guys (Kevin and Derek) were great and knowledgeable and recommended I replace the panel due to the corrosion. I got an e-mail from Bill Harland who gave me information on what my options were and some estimates. I asked a bunch of questions and Bill was a great help in making a final decision. I felt he was honest about his recommendation as I debated doing a more expensive upgrade and Bill felt for my situation it would be overkill. I opted for a full replacement 100amp with the feed from the outside. (My house is very small and 100 amps has always been more than sufficient) Kevin and Mike showed up on time for the appointment and did an awesome job on the replacement. The work was high quality, neat and professional. The guys were also great around the young children (2 and 5), they very friendly and even my wife was comfortable (and that's impressive). They cleaned up completely and even took care of a couple of additional things that I had hoped (but didn't expect) they'd be able to get to. There were no surprises with the bill and within the estimate (even with the extra stuff). Judy in the office was also very nice and great with setting up schedules and dealing with the deposit. I will definitely use Harland again if I need electrical work done."

"Kevin installed a power transfer switch and the necessary wiring cables for the system. The work was flawless and completed on schedule! I would definitely use his company services again and highly recommend."

"I had my electrical panel upgraded from an old 100amp panel to a new 200amp panel. On time, great guy, great work, great price, honest, cleaned up area nice. Solid. I would definately refer him to family and friends."

"D'Amani is a bright young experienced electrician. Even though he is young, his experience level goes back to when he was a child. He comes from a great legacy of electricians. His father and grandfather are also excellent electricians. It's safe to say that D"Amani has some electricity running through his veins. D'Amani is a perfect choice for your electrical needs. Please give him a call. You will be happy with his work"

"Just call these guys. There. Done. James and his brother, Daniel, came out to move a wall installed TV. I wanted it lower and the job entailed moving two outlets lower as well, then patching the drywall. These two were great: very knowledgable, incredibly professional, highly skilled, very friendly, cleaned up over and over while working (the mom in me LOVED that) and charged a very fair price. I felt they went above and beyond what most installers would do and they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the job. Even better? They will come weekends and evenings at no extra charge. I highly recommend them. Just had to come back and say that, because Daniel did such a fabulous job repairing my drywall and painting after my TV was moved, I hired him to come and repair drywall with water damage and repaint that as well. His work is invisible!! He did an awesome job!! Swift, impeccably clean, VERY reasonably priced. I don't always go for the cheapest estimate because I'm fearful of sloppy work. Daniel gave me the best estimate as WELL AS the best work! I had to go to work as well as run errands while he was in my home. I trust him implicitly."

"Michael came to my house and upgraded my 100 amp panel to a 200 amp panel for my solar installation project I had coming up. He was very thorough in explaining all the work that needed to be done, how long I would be without power, and was very knowledgeable in all of the questions I had. After removing my service and replacing it with the new 200 amp, he went through the entire house and checked what each breaker was wired to and marked it inside my panel very neat and organized. Couldn’t be happier with the experience from start to finish. If you need any work done to your home I highly recommend Mike and I will definitely be contacting him in the future if I ever need any other work done. Thanks Mike!!!"

"Michael has been wonderful from start to finish. Even when I was experiencing difficulties with the pool company to come out and install, that put him on hold from getting his electrical part done. Michael was on stand by and ready to come out when I needed him. Super professional, gets right back to you with any questions/concerns, on time and very patient. Will be hiring for future electrical projects!!!"

"On a routine inspection Milltown found that I had water coming into my breaker box from outside the house. They gave me several options and I decided to upgrade my box in addition to sealing the area from further water damage. They were very professional and the project looks tidy. They addressed extra issues they found during the upgrade and straightened out all the wires. I would use them for future projects."
