"We recently had a pool installed and about 1/3?1/2 of the sprinklers were dug up in the process. I needed those replaced and integrated into the existing system/timer.  <br /> I got three estimates for this job... $4,000 (what?!), $2,500, and $1,500. <br /> I liked Carlos when he came out and was pleased his bid was the lowest. He said they would install two zones of sprinklers, one on the side of the house, and one in the backyard, behind the pool. He came out the morning of the work and talked to his two guys, but I'm not sure what he told them because they seemed very unclear on what they were supposed to do. They both spoke almost no English and I think they tried to explain to me that the sprinklers needed to be split into two zones, as if that wasn't what was supposed to happen in the first place. They did the work and showed me the sprinklers working, but after they left and I set up  the timer, one of the existing zones and one of the new zones didn't work. I called the next morning and was told they'd be out that day. No show, no call. I called the next morning and was told the same thing. They did show and fixed the problem.  <br /> They did the work, but I feel like they could have done more (even if it was for more money). The sprinklers on one side of the front walk don't work and there's a broken sprinkler head in the back. Had they tested the sprinklers and walked around and talked through those things with us, I would be a much more satisfied customer and they could've made a little more money. <br /> I am torn on whether I would use them again. The price was right, and the work was done, but I wasn't wowed. <br />"

"Exactly on time for price quote & exactly on time to do the work. They own all the right equipment to do the job including a truck with bucket lift, stump grinder & wood chipper. They decided to drop the trees in one piece rather than cut and lower pieces from the bucket lift (we live in a cul de sac so not much traffic to block). The 60 futter fell across our front yard & all the way across the street. They dropped it right where they wanted to and within minutes had the street cleared. It was pretty amazing when that tree fell. Took about 4 hrs. to complete everything including cleanup using only 3 guys. I will definitely hire these guys again for any tree or shrub service."

"I am in property management so I deal with contractors on a regular basis. When doing any major project I always get a minimum of 3 bids, first to make sure pricing is in line and most important to insure I am dealing with a contractor that appears to know what they are talking about. Once I receive the bids I ask for a minimum of 3 references. I have found that one of the most important things to do is look at a contractors work and interview people they have worked for. I actually visited 6 jobs Seth Pompey Landscaping did and personally visited with 3 of his customers. One thing they all had in common was how happy they were with Seth and his crew. My job consisted of a major remodel of my front and rear yards. This included removing my front and rear yards grass and all shrubbery, landscaping, water lines, sprinkler systems, gas lines and drains. After removal everything was replaced with fresh new plants, trees and sod. Seth was very engaging, walking me thru the process steep by steep. Not only was he extremely helpful, he and his crew were very flexible, allowing me to make changes along the way and in some cases not creating any additional cost. Seth even made recommendations along the way which proved to be helpful as well. Seth has surrounded himself with true craftsmen, artist's that know masonry inside and out. They created mow strips, planters faced with small stones, a fire-pit with large natural rock benches and a large cascading waterfall. All of which put the finishing touches on the landscaping he provided. In addition Seth personally took me to 4 nurseries walking isle by isle hand picking each plant, shrub and tree to be used in my yard. While doing so he made sure I was picking the right plant for the right area. I can't say enough about Seth and his staff, they are a class act, one I HIGHLY recommend."
