"Pros: quickly completed the job, did come back and use a marker to fill in areas where stain was missed. (but missed many spots the first time around) Cons: did not show up for the consult on time, pushed our job back to a different day and notified us Friday prior to the Monday they were supposed to start. They did not lock out front door upon leaving, leaving us vulnerable to theft. Certain aspects asked for like filling in the gaps between board were NOT done, with no solution provided. When I didn?t respond to a text quickly enough they just stopped over to ?repair? the floor with a marker without scheduling a time, changing our entire plan for the day. Less than impressed."

The actual company that did the floor - hollywood wood floors - were amazing. Knew their stuff, including the species of the wood, which the person who did the quote incorrectly identified. I chose them because we had a quick timeline, got a cheaper quote that would have been too late for our move in schedule."

"This was a very straightforward transaction with excellent workmanship from Footy Prints. 2 floors consisting of a mix of bedrooms and a basement were completed within 2 days. This included navigating heavy furniture, taking out existing carpet and installing new vinyl flooring. Carson and team were accommodating, professional, solicited preferences with suggestions to help proper decisioning at every point. The work was completed quickly and accurately per specifications. Wood flooring refinishes FAQs
Plan on refinishing your floors every seven to 10 years to keep them looking their best. If you spot heavy scratches, sun-faded boards, water stains, or a thinning finish in high-traffic areas, consider moving up the timeline. A quick check each season lets you catch trouble early and protect the wood for the long haul.
You can skip full sanding only if the finish is still in great shape. In that case, your hardwood flooring pro can lightly buff the surface and apply a fresh topcoat. You can maintain regular sweeping and vacuuming to keep grit at bay. But if you see wax buildup, dents, or deep scratches, sanding is a must. Otherwise, the new coat will highlight every flaw.
Sweep or dust-mop every few days, then follow up with a slightly damp microfiber mop and a cleaner specifically designed for wood floors—avoid anything harsh that can strip the finish. For stubborn marks, rub lightly with fine steel wool and a bit of mineral spirits, then buff with wax. Adding blinds or curtains also shields boards from sun-fade and keeps the color even.
