"We inherited a hazardous mess when when we bought our home a couple of years ago - 120 year old brick chimney with a huge hole in the base of the stack, crumbling bricks, mortar completely gone in places, fireplace floor missing, liner rusted through. Several masons looked at it and told us to tear it down, so we decided to call chimney specialists. We got three bids, all of which were actually about the same price, but ONLY Al and his crew from Always Affordable got up on the roof to fully inspect the chimney before quoting the job (the others were just guessing at the condition of the liner/interior). They had the best plan for safely repairing the stack and answered all of my questions, and Michelle in the office was great about scheduling and keeping everything organized. Al and his crew were super prompt, very efficient and INCREDIBLY neat. They finished a huge job in less than two days and left my home and basement MUCH cleaner than they found it - they even vacuumed the basement stairs! The fireplace looks great and the stack is now solid as a rock. They even did a few extra tasks while they were on the roof, including adding a cap to our sewer vents and tarring a couple of problem spots, no charge. Really awesome company all the way around.
