"I called Clean Sweep at 8:58 AM and they were at my house at 2 PM as promised. The dispatcher even called to let me know they were on their way. The two technicians were very nice, knowledgeable, and explained the three options for chimney screening. Not sure how anyone could give these guys below a B - they are first rate!"

"This was the second time the company serviced our gas fireplace and they do an excellent job. We would definitely hire them again. They are very thorough and do an excellent job of preparing the fireplace for the season."

"Well, Frank delivered a heck of a lot more than what I was expecting. In addition to cleaning the chimney he: 1) emptied out the ashes from the basement, 2) fixed the metal screen in front of the fireplace so it opens and closes smoothly, 3) unstuck our gas valve that was stuck shut, 4) fixed the damper linkage so it closes all the way, 5) closed the damper (I had left it open for years), 60 visually inspected the chimney on the roof, 7) informed us our chimney cap was missing, and 8) sold us a chimney cap on the spot. He would have installed it for us, but coincidently, my roofer was coming later that day to check on the gutters, so I had the roofer install it. Frank literally did a top to bottom safety check on the entire fireplace/chimney system, and did a very thorough job. Highly recommend."

"Superb performance, from evaluation to completion. Anthony and his team managed impeccable removal of old roof, replacement of weak and rotting plywood, and installation of new boards and roof. I could not recommend any company more highly. D Jackson Coleman"

"Summary: The Tri-Town team was very responsive and considerate, providing reliable service and quality materials at a fair price, with timely follow-up to questions/concerns even over 6 months later. Details: Of three companies contacted for this job, Tri-Town's owner (Rick), with the assistance of their courteous office manager (Lori), was the quickest to respond and the best at following up. Both the owner and the job manager (Nick) were very patient in answering my questions about the job design and material options, including the re-use of materials that were in good shape. Given the unknowns of the job (e.g., edge rot, signs of carpenter ants), they provided an estimate that was clear about multiple contingency options. The price was fair - similar to or slightly less than the other quotations. They were willing to adjust the price for work that I could complete myself, and even worked directly with me on installing the new rail posts to ensure I didn't void the new roof warranty. Tri-Town included multiple before and after photos as part of the final invoice/report. Overall, the job was well done. Minor issues and resolution: The roof was first assessed in autumn and Tri-Town was honest in acknowledging that the work should not be done until spring to make sure temperatures were suitable for proper EPDM adhesive setting conditions. We hade to use plastic sheeting and roof patch on the old roof to help prevent further damage during the winter. But we were not forgotten - the office manager called the following spring to get the work scheduled. The work crew was slightly "rough around the edges", but probably not more so than other typical roofing companies. Flicked cigarette butts on the lawn were later picked up. A loud radio was turned down upon request and with an apology. There may be a couple roofing companies in the area that are a bit more refined, but you'll probably pay more for their matching polo shirts. A sub-contractor quickly installed the new gutter, but eye-balled an incorrect (slightly reverse) slope - however, the Tri-Town team fixed the condition within about a week of my call. Several months later, a small leak developed during heavy rains. It was near an upstairs door entry, so it may not have been directly related to Tri-Town work, but they still sent a team within about a week to re-caulk all the edges around the roof and chimney free of charge. Combined with a bit of my own door-step re-caulking, there is no more leak."

"I was extremely pleased with the work that Block Rock Roofing did on the replacement of my entire roof. Joe Ruminski, the project estimator, was very responsive, will to thoroughly discuss the quote, professional, easy to get in contact with, and friendly. David and Dan, the project manager, were very responsive to meeting the schedule and following-up with me to ensure I was satisfied with the work. I signed the contract on Oct 11 and the roof was completed on Oct 25. I am so thankful that they were able to complete the roof in a timely manner before the rain and winter weather. I was very pleased with the efficiency of the crew and the wonderful job they did to cleanup. I would definitely recommend Black Rock Roofing. They also recommended a very reliable chimney replacement company that coordinated with the roof replacement."

"Technician was very professional and candid, but would not repair leak without installing an in-line valve due to liability issues. Quote for installing a valve ($600) was too high for me, so with technician's feedback/advice I decided to cap the line later myself at the T-junction in the basement (rather than installing a valve) since we don't actually use the fireplace gas line. I was disappointed that technician didn't do such a simple thing as capping the line himself for the service call fee, and maybe he would have capped it if he had the right sized cap on hand, but wasn't worth paying him to go get just a cap and return to install it at $80+/hr. Still, he was at our place for nearly an hour investigating the issue and discussing options, so at least we had his full attention and honest, informed opinion."

"I hired Ron to repair my chimney and I was very pleased. He was timely, communicative and very respectful of my property and the price seemed reasonable. I am still waiting on some roofing repairs that needed to be done by another company, but since the recent rains have not resulted in continued leaks I am hopeful the chimney was the primary issue and Ron's promptness at completing the job has really relieved my stress!"
