"I hired this pro because he was honest about how difficult it is to deal with cutting tile around faucets in these old houses. He recommended cutting a big portion so the tile could be repaired if it broke but I would need a tile person to come in and fill in the tile. When he heard it was my only bathroom he figured that he could pull the dishwasher in the kitchen and do the installation of faucet and shower head from the back wall without disturbing any of the tile. Even though he was more expensive I appreciated his problem solving and who knows how expensive it would have been to deal with damaged tile that was impossible to match? I am pleased with the results. My only criticism is that it was discovered there had been a mouse infestation behind and beneath the dishwasher and he charged me a large sum to clean that up. I did it because I didn’t want to stop the project but it seemed like $350 was a lot to charge me for that. "

"I contacted Remodeling Plus to give me an estimate for remodeling a basement, which entailed creating 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a creating walls for a general purpose area out of the basement space. I am extremely glad I choose Remodeling Plus for several reasons. Bill, the owner of Remodeling Plus, and his colleague, Mark, have a great attitude. After working with several different tradesmen, it is a pleasure to work with people who want the customer to be satisfied and good to great lengths to ensure their satisfaction. For example, after I had carpet installed, he was there the same evening to finish trimming the doors so they wouldn't drag on the carpet. Bill provided great guidance on the project. His initial estimate for the project was quite accurate. The project cost more by the end because I made changes to the scope of the project. Bill recommended several good contractors to perform the electrical, drywall, and HVAC work. He also recommended working directly with my local municipality for the permitting process for speed of response by the municipality and cost. He also made recommendations of how to lay out the space in the bathroom based on his experience and the constraints of the space. His many years of experience in carpentry and home remodeling shows in the quality work he performs. For example, we had sliding doors installed for the closet built for the bedroom. Bill took the time to trim the sliding doors to fit around the base molding so the door fits flush to the wall instead of leaving a gap between the wall and sliding door. He also trimmed the doors up for the short basement. His knowledge and experience helped as the project grew and changed. He was able to fill in the floor with concrete after the plumber broke up a 30 foot long, 2 foot wide trench for the new sewer line. He was able to install 2 new basement windows into slots that had weird angles and require building a new frame for it. He can perform plumbing and electrical work if building permit is not required. I have lived in the remodeled space for about 1 month. It is hard to imagine what the space looked like before. The space is comfortable, well laid-out, and very functional."

"GA Chott did a full kitchen remodel for us. New flooring, cabinets, backsplash, quartz countertops, lighting, and a new floor plan. They had to add new electrical and move plumbing for us. We could not be happier. Darryll listened to what we wanted and his team, led by James did an outstanding job on all aspects of our project. James is a true professional who pays attention to the little details and was always willing to answer my many questions. He was a pleasure to have in our home. This is the second time that we have hired GA Chott. They also installed a new fabulous bathroom in our basement several years ago and we were so happy with their work that we called them when it was time to remodel our kitchen. Both times they worked in our house they showed up every day on time and did a great job. We will definitely be calling them again with any future work we need done. "Al rebuilt my porch during the pandemic. All went great. There was a window to be replaced that didn't come in before the work was completed. Al called me when it came in to schedule installation. It was now during the height of the pandemic. I was concerned about keeping an older parent safe so asked Al to wait to install the window. He was very agreeable to what made me comfortable with the situation. I called him a couple months later and scheduled the installation. He came and installed it. I'm very grateful that during a difficult time he respected my views and rearranged his work schedule. Will definitely hire again."
