"I initially hired Mr.Handyman to investigate and fix a leak around my window. They told me on the phone based on the photos I provided that the estimate for the job will be about $775 to find and fix the source of the leak and replace the drywall. I believe they use predatory and deceitful practices to inflate the final pricing, as it ended up being far higher than original estimates. When their handyman showed up, the estimate changed to $1010. I was never verbally informed that any of these estimates did not include materials. After removing the drywall, the handyman never found the source of the leak. I had to drive out to the property to find and fix it myself. I then called the handyman to re-install the drywall after the issue was fixed. I was then given another invoice for $977, so now we are at a total $1433, of which they claim $371 is materials. They never found or fixed the actual issue as promised but still charged for the full job. I thought we were being overcharged, since the original estimate was for finding and fixing the actual source of the leak, which they never did. When I questioned the materials charge and asked for receipts, their manager told me he would not send me any receipts even though they have them in the system because "its not their protocol" and that they put an upcharge on materials. When I questioned how much % the upcharge is, or if they can provide actual pricing of the materials, he said “when you buy at Publix, you don't ask them how much they upcharge for your food". This makes no sense, as at the store I see the price before I buy something, so I can decide if I want to buy it. Mr.Handyman never provided me with pricing of materials upfront, they just sent me one final price at the end without a breakdown of materials purchased, which they can make up to be anything. This is highly unethical. If this is a cost-plus contract, they should be providing receipts."

"Deciding on Larsen’s Pool and Spa to build our backyard oasis was the best decision we made! Our designer, Emily, really listened to not only the vision we had for a pool but also for our whole backyard. Her design truly captured our entire vision. Their transparency with their pricing was also impressive. Other pool companies didn’t provide a line-item price of each product used in building the pool. The honest pricing was refreshing to see. It was also amazing to go to the design studio and see all the options that were available within the price quoted. With other companies they would’ve been an upgrade. Reid was our Construction Manager. He was great to work with. Always available for questions, consistent communication, and always on site. The office personnel (Molly, Elicia and Cathy) were always polite, accommodating, upbeat and available for any questions I had. Justin and Mike serviced the pool once it was up and running. Justin was so patient with us. We had so many questions and took so many notes. Justin was available anytime we had a question about taking care of the pool. He was extremely knowledgeable. The owner, Eric, checked in on a regular basis just to see how everything was going and to see if I had any questions, concerns or issues. He’s very personable. Every professional that came out to do their part were excellent and perfectionist. You could tell they took pride in the job they were doing and made sure it was done right the first time. I will be honest; they were not the cheapest, but we felt as though it was money well spent without a doubt! They are the best at what they do, and they built a high-quality product. This includes the experts they hire, their customer service, communication, how they present the project to the customer, their honesty, their knowledge, quality products, their expertise and the overall great disposition of everyone at Larsen’s Pool and Spa. I even got to meet Eric’s dad, he’s so funny and nice! This is truly a family operation that takes pride in their craft, and it shows. The building of our pool went very fast. I was so shocked! With all that said we broke ground on May 3, 2025, and they started filling the pool on July 1, 2025! On July 4th we officially broke it in! "I hired Elite Home Paint to repaint my cabinets. Unfortunately my cabinet doors were in very bad shape, as they were partially sanded down and also had paint stripper poorly applied. As I'm a very black and white person, I reached out to Ariel and sent him photos of the doors, and he said he could do the service. When he got at my house with his crew, they saw the doors, and the service was still confirmed to be possible, even though the quality of the doors were bad. They got to it, and when I got home from work that morning (I work nights, so didn’t see the job completed until the next day), I was very disappointed. They didn’t completely sand down the doors or drawers, so all the marks that were on the units showed up on the paint, very poorly. When I contacted Ariel, he blamed the parts on being damaged and that no one would have done the service for the price he did. I explained to him that at no moment, he told me that the condition would have impacted the end product, as I thought he would properly sand and DIDN’T! As I continued to inspect the unit, I found multiple spots with paint drips, parts completely poorly painted, still white (I painted my cabinets black btw). I tried contacting Ariel to try to settle this peacefully and he basically told me the job was done, and BLOCKED my phone number (I know this because when I call it goes directly to voice mail, and when I use a friends phone, he picked up. Sent a msg through Facebook as well and completely ignored. I would leave it alone if it were just the spots of the poor sanding, but all the white spots is completely unacceptable. Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and poor service, definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this company."
