"Josh did my patio 2014 and gave me 5 years warranty on cracks and sealer. Once I called so he can fix he blocked all communication. And I have been trying to call him for the past 2 years with no reply at all. My patio is cracking and the color faded after one year"

"Overall, I am not satisfied with Hastings and Sons Concrete and recommend using caution before signing any contract with this company. They agreed to perform the job as I requested, however throughout the process they changed how they performed the job. Examples: They still have not provide the diagram with measurement (depth, width, length, and location) for the four pillars they installed after several requests. Without this diagram, I do not know if the pillars are to code. They said they would use expansion joints and used none. Said they would use saw cuts and changed to control joints. Said the patio would be even with door ways, but during installation they said based on code they could not do what the sales rep agreed to. I had to identify that they did not use rebar in one section of the patio, then they added rebar after it was brought to their attention. I also identified that the gravel base was not hard compacted as the mobile dump machine was sinking into the gravel and got suck several times, however Mr. Hastings continued pouring the concrete anyway. I do not believe I saw the whole contract on the computer tablet; after signing, they printed me a copy so I could read the whole contract and I would not have sign or used this contractor if I had been able to read all the terms and conditions beforehand. Their brochure states a 99.9% customer satisfaction rate, after researching this company this does not appear true. The only positive thing is that they were quick to complete the job the next day, minus providing the agreed upon diagrams."

"I contracted Maxxima Concrete for a substantial residential driveway project involving over 40 yards of concrete. While the final product is functional, the overall experience left much to be desired and raises serious concerns about workmanship and accountability. From the outset, I had to intervene multiple times to ensure basic standards were met. For example, the team initially resisted digging deep enough to accommodate a proper 4-inch gravel base?something fundamental to long-term durability. I also had to correct their handling of the mesh wire reinforcement, which was laid but not properly elevated during the pour, compromising its effectiveness. The finished driveway includes visible engraved marks along each control joint?an aesthetic flaw that was acknowledged but not resolved. Instead of addressing the issue, Maxxima offered a discount, which felt more like a way to avoid remediation than a gesture of goodwill. I had a nice conversation with Braxton the owner of the company and I told him what I wanted and how I would like it. The man did a wonderful job at making me feel comfortable and confident with this job. "Jamie and Brad painted the interior of our entire 4 bedroom house. The job was big, but was finished in 5 days. They were here promptly at the time they stated they would be on all 5 days and worked 8 hours each day to complete the job in a timely manner. They did a great job and also offered to do other work needed in our home at very reasonable prices. We will call on Jamie/J E Construction for future work on our home as they do it all!
